On the final day of our cruise through the British Isles, we chose the day trip to Paris excursion. With just six hours to spend in this big city, we did our best to maximize time and hit a few monuments, while also being able to enjoy a cappuccino at a cute sidewalk cafe. After all, the ambiance is Paris is one of my very favorite things to experience! Today I’m sharing five things to do in Paris if you’ve only got a few hours to spare! (I know a lot of flights have long layovers in Paris, so even if you’re not doing a day trip by cruise, you could still take note of this list!).
If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve likely seen me share this top a gazillion times (for instance here, here & here)…and on that note, have you scooped up one for yourself yet?! 😉 In all seriousness, there aren’t a ton of non-maternity tops I’ve found that provide full coverage and have a relaxed enough fit that still feels comfortable – especially six months into pregnancy. This one is from Urban Outfitters and I now own it in four colors…y’all know me, when the top fits, get aaaall the colors!
Crisp air, colorful leaves, hot chocolate in hand and the coziest outfit…my idea of the perfect weekend hike! Last Sunday Blake and I snuck away from the pups and enjoyed a hike through our old stomping grounds – the Greenbelt. Before buying a house, our old apartment balcony overlooked the Austin Greenbelt and it was nothing but vast trees as far as the eye could see! While we reminisced about our days living in central Austin, before we had dogs, a house note or a baby on the way (…ohh the days of zero responsibility ha!), we trekked along the beautiful Barton Creek and stopped for some photos as the sun was setting. I know I talk a lot about the importance of getting outdoors on my blog and IG, but I really do believe fresh air and nature can cure a lot things, namely stress and anxiety. When the world seems really heavy, sometimes the best remedy is a peaceful walk amongst the trees, the sound of a nearby stream and the crinkling of leaves beneath your feet.
If there’s one thing that makes me feel less bloated and provides an extra boost of energy these days, it’s getting in my daily workout. Though I can’t “go hard” like I used to pre-pregnancy, I have discovered one thing that makes me feel confident and strong…
PS. Hey cutie Watson in this post! As soon as he hears me grab the leash, he is sprinting to get out the door, ha! read more

A big thank you to Finish Line for sponsoring this post! All opinions are my own.
Oh ya know, just strutting in the middle of a parking lot to show y’all an outfit…typical day in the life over here! 😉 Since becoming pregnant, I feel like I have really expanded my blue jean horizons and even stepped out of my style comfort zone…insert: A DRESS. I don’t really know why, but over time I basically just stopped wearing dresses…even though they’re comfortable and make me feel great! I think I’d forgotten just how nice it is not to wear pants…ha! Anyhoo…this body-con dress is non-maternity and I’ve scooped it up in three colors already. It’s flattering, extremely comfy and something you can wear before, during and after pregnancy (…and lemme tell ya, those pieces are hard to come by and become wardrobe life savers!!). read more
One of my very favorite things to see in Ireland: The Blarney Castle. This medieval castle dates back to 1446, with views of vast Irish countryside (truly, I have never seen so many shades of green in my life!), the ability to climb to the top (the stairs are quite narrow and steep), a few dungeons in sight (eerie and fascinating all in one) and the best part? If you’ve got Irish roots, you may want to hold to tradition and kiss the Blarney Stone! Unsanitary? You betcha. But awesome? 100%. Blake is full-on Irish (true story: Baby P might just be a ginger, ha!), so visiting the Blarney Castle was such a special treat while on our cruise through the British Isles in September!
Greetings from Austin! After all the rainy insanity we’ve experienced lately, we were lucky enough to get a gorgeous day with bursts of sunshine…and I could not be happier!! I’ve been cooped up inside for too long now, so it felt wonderful to enjoy some fresh air (it was a crisp, magical 65 degrees) and get out and adventure around my very favorite part of town, South Congress Avenue, while wearing a couple of new favorites from the always incredible Patricia Nash Designs (those boots…that backpack…swoon!). Sharing a mini photo diary, plus outfit details (of course!).
Hey there, ladies! How’s your Monday going? I woke up super motivated to knock things off my weekly to-do list, and with a freshly made latte in hand and the pups calmly chewing on their bones, I’m feelin’ great! I have had this post in waiting for a few weeks now and am sooo happy to be able to share it with y’all! For one, overalls (obvi! 😉 ). And two, these extremely gorgeous (and very affordable, just $27) wrap bracelets are stinkin’ ADORABLE and such a great holiday gift idea, too. Let’s get to it!
What to do with just a few hours in Dublin? Eat, drink, stroll…repeat repeat repeat. 😉 Blake and I have become pros at maximizing our time during day trips into cities (hello, cruise life!) – and after enjoying two day trips to Dublin on separate occasions, there’s three things I’d highly recommend…
An outfit I am loving lately: all black and a pop of white sneakers! Dressing my bump has been such a fun challenge…especially as this little guy just keeps growing! I am officially 6 months pregnant (omg where did the time go?!) and the one thing I will not waiver on is comfort. Hence the sneakers…and the leggings…and the long tank top! 😉 Athleisure is always in style…and lucky for me, I found a few key pieces on eBay that I am excited to put into my fall wardrobe rotation!
