Is your mouth watering 1. looking at pictures of the bread above and 2. just thinking of bread?! YES ME TOO. Okay, glad we’re on the same page about that one… 😉 If there’s one thing that Europe does right (well…they do a lot of things right but we won’t go down that rabbit hole haha), it’s most certainly bread…scones, croissants, french bread, focaccia…you name it, it’s delicious and gives my heart pangs because there’s simply nothing like sipping hot coffee or tea and indulging in freshly baked bread, homemade butter and yummy jam…especially while at an outdoor cafe in Paris or better yet, at a darling cottage house in the midst of the Irish countryside. Yes, that scene I just set was REAL LIFE for all of four glorious hours and I am so excited to give y’all a closer look AND share a super easy, wonderful Irish soda bread recipe.

Snap-Up Fleece Pullover

livvyland-blog-olivia-watson-austin-texas-fashion-style-lifestyle-blog-kirkwall-orkney-islands-scotland-abercrombie-pullover-outfit-3livvyland-blog-olivia-watson-austin-texas-fashion-style-lifestyle-blog-kirkwall-orkney-islands-scotland-abercrombie-pullover-outfit-5My foolproof go-to when it comes to dressing comfortably for those cool, crisp days: simple layers. Striped tee, a snap-up pullover, classic skinny jeans and ankle booties. It’s an outfit that I feel really good in – it’s casual yet put together and the color + texture combination is just so perfect together. Cozy fleece, a hint of stripes, a pop of red and my forever favorite cognac accessories…all the ‘yes’ to this outfit!

Mediterranean Orzo Salad

livvyland-blog-olivia-watson-austin-texas-lifestyle-blogger-mediterranean-greek-orzo-pasta-salad-recipe-2By Jessica Lee

Raise your hand if you pack a lunch for work! I’ve gotten into the habit of bringing mine and not only does it mean that I save some money (more to spend on cute clothes!) but it also is so much healthier. I usually just save some leftovers from dinner and pack it as I’m cleaning up so it’s ready to go in the morning, but occasionally, I’ll do a quick meal prep on Sunday that yields food for the week. This orzo salad is the result of one of those meal preps. It makes just enough to get me through Friday. As Ina Garten would say, “how great is that?!”

This is another one of those recipes that you can mix and match as you see fit. If you’re not crazy about olives, I think a roasted veggie like zucchini squash would be a great trade. If your a meat eater, grilled chicken would be a substantial protein to add. If you’re trying to do the low carb thing, cauliflower rice could be subbed in for orzo. It’s totally up to you!

British Isles Itinerary & What To Pack

1-livvyland-blog-olivia-watson-british-isles-cruise-itinerary-what-to-wear-pack-september-augustOhh goodness, I definitely felt all the nostalgia pangs as I organized this travel post! It’s been a full week since we arrived home from our two week cruise through the British Isles with Princess Cruises, and while we are happy to be back into our normal routine and over the let lag, I must admit that sorting through photos is definitely hitting me in the feels! This was our third cruise with Princess (and it was our third reunion trip with our favorite travel blogger gang, too! Always a blast to be reunited!), and we couldn’t have asked for a more incredible trip. If you follow me on Instagram, you likely saw a play-by-play of each stop along our 12-day cruise (…and lots of videos of Blake sleeping on bus rides, in the ship lobby – you name it…this guy was asleep on it haha!!), but I wanted to be sure and start off my British Isles travel diary posts (lots more to come!) by sharing 1. our itinerary (England, Ireland, Scotland – will break it down by port & city further into this post) and 2. what I wore + what to pack. I’m also excited to share my favorite stop of the trip with y’all, along with why we love cruising! So, let’s get to it…

But also kind of serious…like…what?! This week Blake and I had the pleasure of visiting the Blarney Castle in Ireland for the second the time within a year (which is something we certainly thought we’d never get to do!) – and it also made for a perfect excuse to soak up the crisp 60 degree weather and layer up with one of my favorite pullovers! Y’all know I am obsessed (is that too weak a word to describe my affinity for Patagonia?) with Patagonia and Backcountry…and today I’m excited to share an outfit that’s extra warm and cozy…AND a 15% off site-wide at Backcountry code for LL readers!!

Pregnancy Diaries: My First Trimester

livvyland-blog-olivia-watson-first-trimester-pregnancy-pregnant-update-diary-bumpdateArtwork by Kimberlee.

Hello there friends! It’s been a while since I’ve had time to sit down and write a more personal post… we are currently traveling through the British Isles but Blake and I have nestled into a cozy coffeehouse in Inverness, Scotland and are taking a break from the hustle and bustle to soak up quality time with our computers…ha! Not going to lie, it always feels therapeutic to sit and calmly get in some writing or jot down my thoughts for future posts. That said – my sister just sent over THE cutest illustration so I can document my first trimester of pregnancy on my blog… she totally hit the nail on the head with ALL of these…Blake and I just had a good laugh looking through the “cravings” section…that is a very real reality!!

I am currently 17 weeks (baby is the size of a pomegranate this week and his/her feet are the size of gummy bears! We find out the sex on Sept. 12th…omg we can hardly contain our excitement!) and thus, am already into the second trimester. However, given that this is my very first pregnancy, I am excited to document everything for both myself (hopefully we’ll have more kiddos and I can reference this post ha!) and also share what it’s been like for those of you who may not know…which was exactly me just a few months ago.

Red Curry With Cauliflower Rice

livvyland-blog-olivia-watson-austin-texas-fashion-lifestyle-blogger-indian-food-red-curry-dinner-recipe-1By Jessica Lee

Raise your hand if you’re ready for Fall to make an appearance already. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Summer, but I’ve got sweaters and boots that are dying to be worn. Anyone else feeling the same way? Well, let’s manifest Fall with this tasty red curry recipe. I think if enough of us make it, the weather will cool down just enough…. Maybe?!

This is one of those great recipes where you can mix and match ingredients. Got green beans that are on their last leg? Throw them in! Want to swap in brown rice for cauliflower rice? Go ahead. Prefer chicken or shrimp in your curry? You do you! It’s pretty much a choose-your-own adventure meal. Aka my favorite kind of meal…

Feelin’ Cozy

livvyland-blog-olivia-watson-austin-texas-lifestyle-blogger-jockey-loungewear-3
livvyland-blog-olivia-watson-austin-texas-lifestyle-blogger-jockey-loungewear-5Hey there! How was your weekend? We took ours nice and slowwww…and it was SO WONDERFUL. Worthy of all caps because I’ve been in hustle mode leading up to our trip and I finally carved out some time to r-e-l-a-x and it was fabulous. I forget how much I enjoy simply lounging around the house without a to-do list floating through my brain. Now that’s livin’, I tell ya! Saturday I had planned to hit the mall and do some last minute shopping for our cruise, but after I got ready to venture out for the day, I made it to my car and then realized I needed some “me time” more than I thought I did…my body and mind were telling me nix to shopping list, grab a book and go lay down! I turned back around, swapped my denim cutoffs for some ultra soft joggers (*insert immediate sigh of relief here*) and suddenly the day went from “meh” (albeit productive) to pure, restful bliss (#worthit).

Sporty Staples

livvyland-blog-olivia-watson-russell-athletic-shirt-urban-outfitters-6livvyland-blog-olivia-watson-russell-athletic-shirt-urban-outfitters-2 Two things I reaaaaally love: a midday coffee break and a cute, comfortable outfit. Combine the two and it’s a recipe that can truly turn my day around. Yesterday morning was quite hectic as I have been trying to prepare for our two week trip abroad (we leave Monday), and when my sister asked to grab a cup, pastry and relax for a bit at one of our favorite spots in town (Tom’s Coffee never fails us!), I immediately jumped at the invitation. By 1pm I realized I had yet to get out of my loungewear and was fading quickly. Caffeine (well…”half caff” given Baby P 😉 ), quality sister time, and a colorful tee + denim shorts combo to the rescue!
