Hello there! How’s your week going? I’ve been truckin’ right along – anyone else ready for Friday yet? Ha! After a few final wedding meetings and 5 hours at a coffeehouse in an attempt to decrease my email inbox number, I am very ready for a strong beverage! The good news: Pam, the mother of one of my best friends, makes a killer martini (true story: we refer to her as “the martini lady” because it’s kind of her thing haha!) and I’m headed over to her abode for a cocktail and a catchup sesh right after I hit publish on this post. It’s so fun being friends with my friends’ parents… always a good time and the best conversation! Definitely one of those days where I need to shut my laptop and enjoy some real human interaction! (Haha, ah!).
But before I go, we muuuuust talk about this insanely gorgeous, beautiful, classy, feminine…okay you get it, this skirt is PERFECT! Blush pink is the color of the moment and for good reason, it’s gorgeous and adds that perfectly girly touch! Wear to work, to a night with the gals, on a date with your beau, to an interview… okay you see where I’m goin’ with this one… this skirt is VERY versatile (…and VERY fabulous, if I do say so myself! 😉 ).

Hey ladies, another makeup post headed your way! While we’re still in the heat of summer where bright lips are totally acceptable (…then again, if you want to rock a bright lip in the winter, more power to ya!), so I thought I’d share one of my favorite pink shades and my summer makeup checklist with y’all!
True story: it was a torrential downpour when I shot this look…Can you tell?! Ohh that hair is a hawwwt mess! (There’s the Texas accent comin’ in strong with that one.. 😉 ). Last weekend I went to brunch with Veronica (one of my bestie’s who also happens to agree to take my blog photos and I appreciate and love her for it!!!) and after a lovely little coffee/mimosa/stuff-ourselves-silly date on the cutest patio at Hillside Farmacy, we decided to quickly snap some photos while we were out! But alas, midway through this “shoot,” it started crazy storming. Thus, we sat in Veronica’s car (she just got a super awesome Jeep that is about 3x the size of my ‘ol Versa & it has a moonroof (..sold!), so it’s always the obvious pick when deciding who’s car to drive!) to stay dry for a bit and watch the radar, then as soon as it cleared up for 30 seconds, we’d run out and go at it again, ha! Anyhoo, this is basically the outcome of a cute outfit combined with excessive rain and humidity…!
