Greetings from Austin! After all the rainy insanity we’ve experienced lately, we were lucky enough to get a gorgeous day with bursts of sunshine…and I could not be happier!! I’ve been cooped up inside for too long now, so it felt wonderful to enjoy some fresh air (it was a crisp, magical 65 degrees) and get out and adventure around my very favorite part of town, South Congress Avenue, while wearing a couple of new favorites from the always incredible Patricia Nash Designs (those boots…that backpack…swoon!). Sharing a mini photo diary, plus outfit details (of course!).

Going back to my roots today! Which means…dressing in an ultra cozy, boho vibe. Growing up in Austin means it’s pretty much in my blood to dress casual for every occasion…and I’ve got no complaints there! It’s one of my favorite things about living here – you never feel pressured to get super dolled up. Barely-there makeup, second day hair (…that’s what hats are for! 😉 ), some free flowing layers and a fabulous pair of clogs…can you tell I am so ready for spring? Side note: it was 75 degrees when we shot this post, which makes me sooo happy! (Warm enough to order an iced beverage…#yaaas). Austin weather, you are totally CRAY but I sure do love you for providing a little sunshine this week.

The Perfect Everyday Tote

If there’s one brand that continues to produce beautiful products season after season (…and that happen to be exactly my style!), it’s Brahmin. (See that gorgeous tote? Mhmm, that’s it!). Their new Southcoast collection is filled with soft leathers, classic silhouettes and functional purpose…I traveled to Barcelona with this same tote a few weeks back and I received SO many compliments! It’s definitely a great bag for both work and play (fits a laptop, camera…all my essentials!) – I can’t tell you how many people stopped me at the airport to ask for tote details, ha. Needless to say, this beauty will definitely be sticking around my handbag closet!

South Congress Coffee Run

Hi ladies! Hope your week is off to a great start! 🙂 I’ve been in go-go-go mode working on some fun collaborations and lots of new Style Me Pretty posts to come (wahoo! Working on my bach trip roundup feature…can’t wait to share!) – and I also got to venture over to South Congress Avenue and stop by one of my favorite coffeehouses, Jo’s Coffee, for a suuuuper yummy Iced Turbo (espresso, chocolate, hazelnut, cold brew coffee and cream…omg YUM) and some galpal time with one of my best friends! …Who I also asked to snap some photos while we were there (..pretty sure my friends just expect this by now haha) because that bomber jacket + striped dress = in love and had to share with y’all!

I’ve seen so many girls rocking bomber jackets all over Pinterest and after going on a hunt to find the perfect one (…and within my budget range!), I found it at Express! Y’all…this thing is SO cute for all seasons (…I mean, it’ll get cooler at night in Austin soon, right? 😉 …and if not, the ‘ol 90’s style around-the-waist thing works in the meantime, ha!) and I love it with the high neck striped dress (on super sale!). Express is all about showcasing that effortlessly cool, 90s style right now, and I am totally on board!

Mother’s Day Coffee Date Featuring New York & Co.

Hello there! Me oh my I am SO excited to finally share this much-anticipated post with y’all! MamaWat (which is what my friends call my mother – short for “Mama Watson” or rather, Kim Watson) joined me for a coffee date at Jo’s on South Congress Avenue in Austin for a Mother’s Day collaboration with New York & Company (…aren’t our outfits adorable?!). Seriously, I LOVED having my mom by my side for this collab, I love her so much…it’s kind of ridiculous, really! We made this post a family affair and my sister snapped these photos – special shoutout to Kimberlee for being an amazing photographer and capturing such wonderful moments for this post!

I am so lucky that my mom lives roughly 10 minutes from my apartment (…that may or may not have been on purpose, ha!) because as I get older, I realize more and more how lucky I am to be so close to her and really know she’s one of my best friends and someone who will always be there for me. I say this all the time, but there really is no one quite like a mom – they provide a sense of comfort that no one else can compare to – and after raising 5 kids of her own, I’d say my mom is an absolute expert at making us feel so loved and taken care of, I really do believe it was her calling to create such a loving and beautiful family. (All 5 of us still reside in Austin…so if that doesn’t tell you something about the family love we have and that my parents instilled in us, then I don’t know what does, ha!).

Hello there! Hope your week is off to a good start! I’ve been MIA over the past few days (on the blog at least…you can always find me on Instagram or Snapchat though, ha) working on some exciting blog collaborations and seeing old friends. One of my best girlfriend’s is in town from New York and got snowed in a few more days (poor thing that she can’t get back home, lucky me that I get to see her more, ha!). Yesterday I drove to Houston to work on a super fun project with BHLDN (where I got my wedding dress! It’s the bridal store by Anthropologie) and I can’t wait to show y’all all that big feature coming in February…so stay tuned for that post, eek!
