Hello gals! How’s your week going? Let’s just say today was quite heavy for a lot of us, so I’m going to nix the election chatter and instead keep things on a positive note! Hi there! How’s your week going? I’m currently writing this post from our cozy hotel in Newport, Rhode Island…looking out our window at the harbor filled with sailboats and mini yachts, coffee in hand (…can you tell I’m in my happy place right now? Ha!). Y’all, the east coast is breathtaking! My friend Veronica and I flew into Rhode Island yesterday and will be here for four days with the wonderful Brahmin Handbag team (…note that gorgeous bag in this post, eh eh! 😉 ), then we’ll part ways as she heads to San Francisco for a girls weekend, and I’ll take the train to NYC to spend some time with my besties in the city. Needless to say, we are so excited to be traveling, experiencing new cities and meeting the team behind a brand I have worn and adored long before I started blogging… this is truly a dream come true! It’s mornings like this where I find myself full of gratitude and feeling more motivated than ever to keep pursuing a career that I whole heartedly love.

Cozy Fall Outfit: Oversized Cardigan & Distressed Denim

Hello there! Y’all…this is my first post as a MARRIED WOMAN! Wahoooooo! Second, I am actually writing this post from our adorable little abode for the next few days in Athens, Greece! As I look at the clock on my laptop, I see it’s 3:45am in Austin (it’s 8 hours later here, so things are already movin’ and shakin’ as I look out the window…but Blake and I are relaxing with coffee and our jammies inside, ha!)… thus, hopefully a fresh post on my blog brightens up your Wednesday morning. 🙂 Buuut let’s be honest, how could it not when I’m featuring the coziest oversize cardigan (a fall wardrobe staple, in my opinion – you’ll thank me later if you decide to scoop this one up for yourself…basically feels like a giant blanket but looks really chic), the cutest little peplum tank top, go-to skinny jeans (very budget friendly) and my favorite ankle booties. Boho Floral Dress & OTK Boots

Ohh the ‘ol boho dress and over the knee boots combo…one of my absolute favorites for fall!! This pretty floral Free People dress in particular is quite magical on its own, let alone with a pair of killer OTK boots (y’all, these are very budget friendly!!) and a stunning structured handbag in the most beautiful rust color. I posted a quick shot of this look to my Instagram stories and had an influx of gals wanting my outfit details, so I figured I’d pick up the pace and get this post up asap!

Ps. Did you notice I went a taaaad darker? I visited my go-to hair stylist, Kacie, over at Milk & Honey Salon (she is a hair-stylist-goddess woman…trust me, she’s good!!) and she gave me more “natural” color and a deep conditioning pamper sesh over the weekend, just in time to get all beautified for the wedding! She is also THE best at those effortlessly cool beach waves (I soooo badly need to watch 20 YouTube tutorials to master this hair style, ha!) and of course I had to use my pretty new hair for some blog photos… 😉

Crochet White Summer Dress

Hey there! I don’t know about y’all, but I’m pretty darn excited for this holiday weekend – that whole 3-days-off thing has come at a great time because this week was crazy busy! Very ready to slow down and recover from it…and enjoy some r&r time with Blake and my family! As mentioned, this week was madness…true story: I had a cryfest from stress that ended with half a bottle of wine and a soak in the tub more than once this week haha! I’m a mess, I know…constantly working on my “zen” … Hey, we all have our good and bad days – I guess this week was not in my favor..! Hopefully that means next week will be amaaaazing and a breeze, right? 😉 . But hey, I had a couple of highs mixed into my lows, and one of them was meeting up with my friend and old co-worker Kathryn (she runs Kathryn Frazer Photography) to snap some photos and catch up over coffee. It was SO wonderful to see her and talk about literally everything – she definitely had me laughing and distracted from my never ending to-do list!

Before we sat down for coffee, we did a quick little shoot in this suuuper perfect white flowy dress by Free People. Seriously, how adorable is this dress with the wrap-up sandals? Gah, I am in LOVE!

Go-To Denim for Spring with Nordstrom

Hello there & happy Monday! Okay, first things first – these jeans are UNDER $95! (Because really, that’s something to hit the caps lock button for 😉 )…and two, I am thrilled to partner with Nordstrom (one of my favorite retailers, as y’all know!) to feature a denim staple for spring – these killer skinny jeans by KUT from the Kloth. Not only is this particular denim line budget friendly, but clearly super ADORABLE (yes, worthy of all caps again…), flattering and above all – comfy! Happy weekend, ladies! It’s been a while since my last Instagram roundup post, so I figured there’s no better time than the weekend to relax & shop through some outfits you may have missed over on my Insta-feed! I never knew I was such a shoe person until I went back and picked out some of my favorite photos…and clearly, I have a thing for shoes! 😉 …and cozy cardigans, and easy-to-layer tees…as I always say, comfort is key when it comes to my style.

Any fun weekend plans on your end? I am off to grab coffee and snap some blog photos with my pops in a few hours (true story: blog life = never stops!) – I am getting used to our Saturday morning routine together, I’ll be sad when he heads back to New Mexico for work in two weeks! My dad is a camera operator in the film industry (in a nutshell, he films movies/tv series) and he just got a new gig that will last until June.. Thus, trying to soak in this time together before he leaves…perhaps Blake and I will just have to plan a trip to NM in the next few months! 😉 (No problem there, Santa Fe is one of my favorite cities!).
