If there is one brand that does blouses right, it is most certainly Sézane. In fact, the row of beloved blouses in my closet are nearly all by Sézane! Remember this one and this one? Years later and I still gravitate towards a beautifully textured white blouse – such a classic. Bonus points because you can wear it to elevate denim shorts or jeans…my favorite. 😉

Summer has arrived at Sézane and I am loving their newest styles! This darling french brand has been one of my very favorites for years, y’all have seen me wear their beautiful pieces for a long time. I remember once when Blake and I were vacationing in the UK and we passed a Sézane storefront while in London…I had a mini fangirl moment. The store was closed for the evening, but the fact that a brand can create fans (hi, me!), is a true testament to how special Sézane truly is. Crossing my fingers they open a store in Austin one day! As I write this post, both boys are napping (!!), I’m sipping an afternoon coffee and the new Midnights album is playing on shuffle. Needless to say, the word to describe my current state: joy. I don’t know about you…but I’m feelin’ 2022. Okay okay, that was the ultimate cheese but I just couldn’t resist. While the last two years were a literal blur, I am really hoping to keep my head above water in 2022. My goal is to remain hopeful and optimistic, because even though oftentimes I feel like the world is caving in, it’s really about perspective and knowing that I am in control of how I feel. So! Onwards into the new year giving myself grace, not making a single resolution, but feeling motivated to tackle a new set of tangible goals. And you know what really amps me up stepping into 2022? A blazer. I mean, what can’t you do in a power blazer?

Going back to my roots today! Which means…dressing in an ultra cozy, boho vibe. Growing up in Austin means it’s pretty much in my blood to dress casual for every occasion…and I’ve got no complaints there! It’s one of my favorite things about living here – you never feel pressured to get super dolled up. Barely-there makeup, second day hair (…that’s what hats are for! 😉 ), some free flowing layers and a fabulous pair of clogs…can you tell I am so ready for spring? Side note: it was 75 degrees when we shot this post, which makes me sooo happy! (Warm enough to order an iced beverage…#yaaas). Austin weather, you are totally CRAY but I sure do love you for providing a little sunshine this week.

Hey ladies – happy Halloween! I hope your week is off to a great start and you’re indulging in aaaall the candy today. 😉 Blake and I are excited to go trick or treating with my niece and nephew for a bit, then head home and pass out candy in our neighborhood…it’s our first Halloween in the new house…kind of a milestone, right? Ready to meet some more neighbors and see all the cute kiddos in their costumes – big day ahead!
As y’all know, sweaters are probably my favorite wardrobe piece when it comes to fall and winter wardrobes. They’re ultra cozy, flattering and can be dressed up or down. Normally when you think of a chunky sweater, it’s paired with jeans and cool sneakers or flats…so today I’m excited to style the cuuuutest sweater in a more dressed up way!
