Nursing Friendly Tops & Dresses

If there’s one thing I’ve learned about putting together an outfit when you know you’ll be nursing your baby, it’s this: BUTTONS! They’re my secret weapon when it comes to shopping for nursing-friendly tops and dresses that make you feel GOOD. (…Because as my fellow mamas know, wearing workout gear on repeat can often be the norm…even when there’s no workout on the agenda!). Grab your favorite pair of high rise denim, some boyfriend shorts (comfort is key!) or even your maternity jeans – whatever bottoms you feel comfortable wearing, and pair with any of these cute tops. Whip out some classic sneakers or summer sandals for the dresses! Sharing more of my nursing secrets below…

Though I spend most of my time at home these days, when I do go out (to grab coffee, to my moms house, to Target…haha), I am always wearing a top or dress with buttons. When Jude is hungry, he let’s me know immediately, ha – his little voice is so cute but man…I’ve got to get him his milk QUICK. Thus, wearing something you can unbutton within seconds is key. I have quite a few of the options I’m sharing above (you’ve likely seen me wearing 2, 3, 5, 10 and 11 if you follow me on Instagram), so I’m excited to finally share more cute nursing options!

Also – the majority of these can be worn with my favorite nursing bra underneath. Options 2, 4 and 5 would need a strapless bra, or you could go au natural and just wear some nursing pads with a sticky side (like these – they’re my daily go-to! I tuck them into my nursing bras).

Amen sister! I have a two month old and am rocking the exact same rotation of summer styles with buttons–when I’m not wearing exercise leggings, a nursing tank, and a hoodie (which is far too often but it’s getting too hot!)

You’re fitness post is so inspiring- you look bronzed and so SO fit post partum, it’s hard work getting back into my wardrobe! But I’m plugging along! Enjoy that adorable baby Jude!!! You look AWESOME Mama!
