Haaaappy Friday, ladies! (Well, we’re close enough now.. 😉 ). Phewww…this week was a doozy, very glad to have a weekend of recovery! Our laundry room renovation is SO close to being complete…adding final touches and making a couple changes, then it’s time to snap the photos and share with the world. 😉 Can’t wait…it’s a beauty!

This weekend Blake and I are headed on a quick getaway to El Paso, Texas (I’m working on a fun project with ASOS that I’ll share with y’all in mid-September…), and though we’ll be busy bees snapping photos for this one, it will be wonderful to spend some quality time together and explore a new city. Any LL readers from El Paso? Would love any recommendations you have! (Coffee shops, restaurants, cute boutiques…).

Custom Cutoff Levi’s Shorts

Do you ever scroll around Pinterest and find yourself re-pinning the SAME item over and over? That’s me when it comes to Levi’s cutoff shorts…I feel like I can always find the perfect inspiration shot online, but when it comes to finding a perfect fit for these things, that’s the tough part! Too short, too long, too tight, too much booty showing – you know what I mean? Buuut then I did some Internet searching (…or more like I clicked on every cutoff Levi’s shorts image on Pinterest…*Insert face-palm here*) and it finally led me to an Etsy store that cuts CUSTOM Levi’s shorts made to your measurements! Not going to lie, I did an actual happy dance when I put these cute cutoffs on…never have I ever loved a pair of Levi’s shorts so much!

Paradise Found: Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Do you ever get really stressed out, close your eyes and pretend you’re somewhere else? Not going to lie, I catch myself playing this little daydream game every week. When I close my eyes I am always on a beach, the sun is warming my skin and the sound of waves crashing washes all my troubles away. In this daydream I am sipping on a very strong tropical cocktail (tequila is most definitely involved), rocking some diva-sized sunglasses, a big floppy hat and reading a breezy beach novel. And above all? Feeling rested and at peace. I call this weekly daydream my “escape.”

Last week my daydream became a reality – for four glorious days I was living my best life in paradise: happy, relaxed, often a little tipsy (I mean…when you’re at an all-inclusive…), soaking up some much needed girlfriend time and grateful to have a b r e a k from my agenda and email inbox. I have been so fortunate to have an incredible summer filled with amazing trips and adventures – but there is nothing like a true beach vacation…where the purpose is to recenter, refresh and relax. And that is exactly what we did!

I had the absolute pleasure of working with the renowned Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Resort to soak up a getaway in Cabo with my bestie Veronica (thanks Vron for snapping my outfit pics on this trip – you rock!)…and let’s just say it was pretty darn magical! Though I grew up vacationing in Mexico often, I had never been to Cabo (we always went to Cancun when I was younger). Cabo was absolutely stunning and more lovely than I ever could have imagined – the people, the food, the scenery (!!)…you name it, it was awesome.

Floral Mini Dress

Hey ladies, how’s your week going? I spent the morning packing for my next trip…headed to Cabo On Wednesday!! My galpal Veronica and I are excited to visit an all-inclusive resort for a few days (I’ll share more on my Instagram feed, fear not!)…doing our best to soak up the final weeks of summer…and a girls trip + beach vacay is never a bad way to end! 😉 Aside from that, I’ve been mapping out my September schedule and ACL is definitely on the agenda! Festival season is in full swing, so I’ve been on the hunt for breezy dresses, cutoff shorts and ankle booties that I can wear from summer, into fall and on the festival grounds. And as you probably guessed it, this ADORABLE little dress most definitely makes the cut!

Our Bohemian Entryway

Last week I asked my Instagram followers what posts they wanted more of, and overwhelmingly it was more home decor/interiors! Thus, I worked my little booty off over the weekend to complete the entryway of our new house…and I could not be more in LOVE with how it turned out! We are slowly but surely turning this house into our dream home – and I already feel a sense of peace wash over me every time I step foot inside…which is exactly what I’d hoped we could create: our own little sanctuary space. With the help of Etsy, a few of my favorite stores and Blake’s handy work (…he made the coat rack!), we finally filled out the vacant space next to the front door. Aaaand finally I have edited these photos (…which also means I got the “happy sads” reliving this portion of our trip…ya know, happy it happened, sad it’s over, etc. 😉 and am super excited to share an in-depth look at our time in Saint Petersburg, RUSSIA!
