Happy Sunday, gals! I have been feeling under the weather this week and it finally hit me this morning – woke up with a stuffy nose and a sore throat…hoping I can relax and chill out enough to let myself get better! Luckily, Blake and I don’t have a major to-do list today (yay, more time for me to lounge around and do a little online shopping, ha!) 😉 Blake’s dad is an accountant, so we’re headed over to his house to do our taxes in the late afternoon (woo adulthood! *sarcasm). Will be nice to see his family though, we’re both super lucky that everyone lives in Austin!
I’ve got a thing for wine colored tops these days..! I think it’s a subconscious choice…I’ve also become more of a “wino” than ever before. In a healthy way, not in an overindulgence kinda way haha. It’s really just sooo nice to sit down with a yummy glass of cabernet (or whatever else we have in our kitchen…I don’t discriminate!) after a long day and sip on something and feel relaxed. Now I understand why women buy all those funny wine quotes and hang them in their kitchens…it’s all TRUE. Like this one, “For instant ‘happy woman’ just add wine.” LOL. Yes!
Hey ladies! Soo…as you all know, in 2016 one of my big goals was to become more active and dive deeper into fitness! (…or maybe just scratch the surface? Not gonna put too much pressure on myself, ha!). Here’s the thing…not only are these warmer months upon us (and one of my absolute favorite activities is swimming), but I’ve got a wedding to prep for…which means if there’s any year to get motivated to feel my best, it’s definitely this one! Given that Blake sometimes reads my blog posts, I can’t tell you for certain whether or not I am wearing a sleeveless wedding gown…however, I can tell you that I’ve been doing a lot more arm workouts than I normally ever would…soo..deduct what you must! 😉
Hi gals! Valentine’s Day is just around the corner so I thought I’d feature some pretty picks that will transition from this fun and festive holiday to spring style staples! From pretty rose gold jewelry (that set of 3 bar stud earrings?! LOVE!) to neutral shoes that pair well with everything to a cute little dress and complementary handbag – I’ve got you covered! 😉
Keeping it short and sweet this evening…! Was a whirlwind of a day between blog/work/wedding appointments…my bed is calling my name, ha! (Seriously, pretty sure I’m half asleep as I write this haha). Enjoy my picks and I hope you find something you love – XO!
Hello there! Hope your week is off to a good start! I’ve been MIA over the past few days (on the blog at least…you can always find me on Instagram or Snapchat though, ha) working on some exciting blog collaborations and seeing old friends. One of my best girlfriend’s is in town from New York and got snowed in a few more days (poor thing that she can’t get back home, lucky me that I get to see her more, ha!). Yesterday I drove to Houston to work on a super fun project with BHLDN (where I got my wedding dress! It’s the bridal store by Anthropologie) and I can’t wait to show y’all all that big feature coming in February…so stay tuned for that post, eek!
Hello there! Is your weekend off to a good start? I sure hope so! So far so good in my neck of the woods…Last night Blake had a happy hour shindig with his coworkers…so instead of crashing, I opted for some quality time with myself, a bottle of wine and Mindy Kaling’s book. Honestly though, quality r&r and a super girly book = one happy Olivia. Toss in a bubble bath (I got to use one of my new bath bombs) and it was a wonderful evening to myself! Today I’m up early to go watch my nieces and nephews for a few hours (…and run through the Starbs drive thru for a Venti on the way…gonna need it!) while there mama gets some time to herself. Wish me luck…two toddlers, one me and 6 hours to go! (Good thing they’re super cute..ha!).
If you follow me on Instagram, you’re likely very familiar with these pretty picks I’m featuring today! I feel like unless I do a full on “Instagram roundup” post, I don’t often feature everything I wear on my Instagram feed over here on my blog. Thus, hopefully this post helps highlight a few of my favorite items I’m currently wearing, and shares how I styled them, too!
Comfy meets classic with a pop of color for this outfit! Over the weekend I met one of my best friends for a coffee sesh on South Congress (if you follow me on Snapchat, you probably know Veronica by now!). She was spending the weekend at the new South Congress Hotel, so I went to scope it out (umm, it’s GORG…like, the most beautiful industrially designed bachelor pad in hotel form – ha! So so pretty and lovely). So, after melting over the beauty of her hotel room, we strolled over to the Tom’s bungalow for some coffee and a little window shopping (it’s an actual miracle that I didn’t buy anything…the shoes…sunglasses…definitely tested my self control). We decided to snap some photos en route to the coffeehouse…thus – this outfit is the perfect “weekend stroll” look…which is basically how I dress no matter the occasion..y’all know me, all about casual + cute looks over here!
Y’all…SO many gorgeous coats are now on sale for well under $200! (Which is already a steal for a gorgeous, ultra warm coat). I kept seeing all the beautiful winter jackets and coats marked down a ton while perusing through Nordstrom.com and realized these savings are too good to keep to myself. I am LOVING the pretty necklines that are trending right now, they’re so timeless and chic, not to mention would look so great with a big ‘ol cozy blanket scarf, too.
Hello there! It feels like it’s been a while since I last sat down and put together an outfit post (a whopping 4 days, ha). I’m currently sitting on my sofa with a bottle of wine staring at me from the kitchen…I told myself I’d go exercise before I popped it open! I’ve been feeling really diligent about my workout routine and hope to keep it up. Not only do I have a lot more energy now thanks to working out, but I just feel a lot better about myself in general…funny how that happens…a simple change and voila, an itty bitty confidence boost…sometimes I think the confidence thing is more of an incentive than anything else to keep on truckin’ when it comes to exercising.
