Crushing On Blush
Happy [almost] Valentine’s Day! Not going to lie, I often feel kinda cheesy when I talk about this holiday in a romantic sense. Don’t get me wrong, any excuse to shower your partner with love is wonderful (…says the hopeless romantic over here.. đ ), buuut just the whole “wear red or pink to a fancy dinner” notion has never really been my thing. I prefer a casual date night in, followed up by a few yummy local beers at a chill bar in town (…or on our patio if I’m feelin’ “granny status” that night haha)…nothing over the top for me…just something low-key with my darling! On that same note – when it comes to Valentine’s Day gifts, I generally gravitate towards more practical items you can wear from season to season, not just on that one special day. As we all know, blush pink has been the “it” color for a while and lemme tell ya, it still has me swooning! (Insert a gazillion heart eye emojis here). Thus, I’m excited to share my top blush picks to take you right on into spring!

Hi gals, how’s your week going? Mine is movin’ along just fine – productive but relaxed…imagine that for me? I am normally a giant ball of stress by the middle of the month, but I’ve been making a point to keep repeating the word “balance” in my head throughout the day so that I don’t allow myself to get overwhelmed. Truth be told, it’s been helping me a TON! Also helps to prioritize my schedule and then nix the rest…I’ve even been shutting my laptop by the time Blake gets home from work. I feel healthy, more present and above all, happy. Hoping I can turn this new mantra into a lifestyle. I am understanding more and more just how important work/life balance is!
The blogging world is one of those industries that you kind of have to navigate blindly on your ownâŚif you keep working hard and producing good quality content, more opportunities come up and you feel like youâve unpeeled another layer of the âunknown.â Thereâs no manual with all the answers, no secret recipe for âblogging success.â For me, it has been a ton of trial and error, vulnerability, embarrassment at times, great days, horrible days, you name it â Iâve experienced it. However, there are a few things I reaaaaaally wish someone would have given me a heads up about. Thus, if I can save you the grief by sharing this list, I am happy to do so! That said, letâs get to it!
Happy Friday, loves! Keeping it extra short & sweet tonight (…Blake and I are headed to a late dinner, but I wanted to get this outfit up asap because

Ohh my heart! Going through photos to create this post really brought out so many emotions! I purposefully didn’t wear makeup as I put this one together knowing I’d be a blubbery mess, ha! Today felt like spring in Austin! It was sooo lovely. I kept telling myself I should step away from my computer and go for a run…but alas, #monday, so maybe I’ll make it outside tomorrow! đ Along with gorgeous spring weather comes a

Hey there! How was your week? Hooraaay! We made it to Friday! đ One of my best friends (Elissa – she’s a flight attendant) had some downtime this week in between work trips, so she kept me away from my computer (no complaints, it was a lovely break!) and we had some fun running around town, doing some shopping and of course, eating at a few favorite Austin spots. Today is her last day in town, so while she gets her hair done down the street, I am excited to get this post up while I sit at Starbucks waiting for her to finish! I love having my friends back in town…for the longest time nearly all of my best friends lived in either New York City or Chicago – it’s been so great since a couple have moved back to Austin in the last few months! For those of you with all of your friends in one place, you are very lucky!!
