Today felt like spring in Austin! It was sooo lovely. I kept telling myself I should step away from my computer and go for a run…but alas, #monday, so maybe I’ll make it outside tomorrow! 😉 Along with gorgeous spring weather comes a denim skirt (yep, you read that correctly, my 7th grade self would be very proud of me for rocking a denim mini 13 years later), a satin cami and some awesome kicks. Oh, and a stunning Furla handbag?! Again, my 7th grade, fashion obsessed self would be very proud.. 😉

Hey there! How was your week? Hooraaay! We made it to Friday! 😉 One of my best friends (Elissa – she’s a flight attendant) had some downtime this week in between work trips, so she kept me away from my computer (no complaints, it was a lovely break!) and we had some fun running around town, doing some shopping and of course, eating at a few favorite Austin spots. Today is her last day in town, so while she gets her hair done down the street, I am excited to get this post up while I sit at Starbucks waiting for her to finish! I love having my friends back in town…for the longest time nearly all of my best friends lived in either New York City or Chicago – it’s been so great since a couple have moved back to Austin in the last few months! For those of you with all of your friends in one place, you are very lucky!!
The Austin weather has been iffy recently – today it’s gorgeous and sunny, two days ago it was freezing and rainy…as always, it’s terribly unpredictable! That said, I scooped up this adorable fleece vest last fall and lemme tell ya, it is THE best $99 you will spend all year! I will forever stand by this adorable vest as both cute, warm and sooo perfect for layering. The color is fabulous, too, and goes with everything!

Hey ladies, how’s your week going? Things have been movin’ & shakin’ in our world…now that I’ve got a pretty (…and clean!) workspace, I have been feeling even more motivated to wake up early and take on the day…it’s the best feeling and has definitely given me a nice boost in my productivity! Thus, it’s 7am and I felt compelled to wake up with the sunrise and get this post up for y’all! …Not to mention, coffee was calling my name as I lay in bed, ha!
This striped sweater is THE CUTEST!! Worthy of all caps because it’s one of those precious pieces that is absolutely timeless, SO soft and can easily be layered now and worn with cutoff denim shorts (…and a belt!) in the spring. It’s fairly light, so definitely a perfect pick if you live in those cities that don’t really stick to seasonal weather…(looking at you, Austin, TX! Y’all…it was 75 degrees a few days ago…in JANUARY!)…

Hello there and happy Friday! I hope you all had a wonderful week and have some fun weekend plans on your agenda. Blake and I are meeting friends for dinner tonight (yaaas to margaritas, please!) and I’ve got some shopping plans penciled in tomorrow – looking forward to that coffee + galpal date!
The winter weather has been so hot and cold (…literally!) recently that oftentimes, wearing layers is key. Seriously…within five minutes of walking in and out of the grocery store, it can go from a breezy 70 degrees to 40 degrees… Austin is so crazy! This is where those cozy layered looks come to the rescue!

Happy Friday, gals! Any fun plans this weekend? Blake and I have a dinner + movie date tonight, we’re seeing Why Him, that new James Franco film…I’m excited! Ready for a yummy IPA and some laughs! We’ve also been in the process of deep cleaning our apartment, so it looks like we’ve got a few Goodwill runs on our agenda this weekend. I’m finally nearly finished with my home office makeover (…just need to swap the light fixture and add the curtains!), so we’ll put the final touches on that room over the next couple of days…can’t wait to show y’all how amazing it looks!! I took some time off from blogging/Instagram over the past few days to really soak in time with my family and friends from out-of-town…it was bliss! Hello there! I am SO excited about todays post because I’m sharing our first ever (married couple) Christmas cards with y’all! I am such a sap for all things couple-y and festive, so when I had the chance to partner with Minted and create a fun holiday card of our own, I definitely jumped at the opportunity! Rather than get serious for our cards (…we don’t have a pup or kiddos right now, so it felt a little weird for us to stand and smile at the camera…), we decided to get extra dorky and awkward (obviously, right? 😉 ) and wear matching sweaters and rock a funny pose and facial expressions. It just felt more “us” to be a little goofy! Not going to lie, even though they’re silly, I am absolutely in LOVE with the cards! (…and the fella who agreed to wear a matching sweater with me, ha! 😉 ).
