White Lace Top & Tan Mules

Ohh this gorgeous top! Insert about 10 heart eye emojis right here. Sexy deep-v? Check. The daintiest scalloped trim? Check. A flattering fit you can wear multiple ways? I’ll share more on that later – and check! Wear with a fab pair of high rise, light wash denim and slip your feet into the cutest leather mules and voila…weekend ready!
Sezane has quickly become one of my favorite brands and a retailer I can always count on for beautiful, unique and ultra feminine pieces to fill my wardrobe. When I spotted this top styled on the model, I instantly fell in love with it! (You can see how it’s styled on their website here). I didn’t realize that the top actually ties in a drop-waist style, so when it arrived in the mail I had some fun wearing it multiple ways. I really love the deep-v detail with high rise jeans or shorts, so in this case I left the bottom untied and moved the fabric evenly around the waistline of my jeans so that there was no funky bulging. It was super easy and a great way to get more wear out of such a pretty top!

Though there are only a couple of sizes left on the Sezane website, I noticed Nordstrom recently started carrying Sezane products (!!) and this top is one of them – yay! Truth be told, I don’t think the Nordstrom product shot quite does this top justice, but you’ll be able to see the drop waist tie I’m referring to more clearly there.

My jeans are by Madewell and they’re the same as in this post from last week. They are SO flattering and that perfect combo of high rise + boyfriend fit but not in a frumpy way… (love me some boyfriend jeans buuut they can sometimes be a little frumps!).

My shoes are by Fortress of Inca and omg they are GORGEOUS! Super comfy and extra soft leather, plus the mule style can be dressed up or down for work or weekend wear – big fan! Lastly, my handbag is from Poppy & Sage and my love for rattan everything continues with this new addition. They have a TON of woven basket bags, so if you’re on the hunt for one, definitely check them out!

What are you up to this weekend? I am headed to NYC to visit my best friends (Ben & Elissa) for a quick weekend getaway (…I should probably start packing, my flight leaves in a couple of hours, eek!). We are going to eat our weight in ice cream and baked goods (been on a sweets kick lately) and I cannot wait to see my friends and laugh a lot… missing them like crazy lately!
