Black, White & Camel

livvyland-blog-olivia-watson-austin-texas-fashion-blogger-j-crew-camel-winter-coat-striped-turtleneck-mid-calf-ankle-booties-1The color combination that always has me swooning: camel (#1), black and white (…preferably in striped form…). I am a firm believer that investing in timeless neutrals is always a great idea – and each of these pieces can be styled in various ways and worn for years to come! Also – did you notice I changed my hair color? Was feeling the itch for a big change, but am reaaaaally trying to grow it out again (…that struggle is real!). I am loving the darker color – excited to let the sun work it’s magic and bring out some honey highlights while I visit Australia next week, too. Going for the “sunkissed brunette” look after a few washes and some quality time at the beach!

Buuut back to this look…as it is currently 24 degrees and snowing in Austin today…coat weather, it is!

Nordstrom is forever my one-stop-shop that carries so many of my absolute favorite brands: Madewell, J. Crew, Sam Edelman…I think my shopping cart is forever growing.

I don’t often stray from my “this feels very me” shopping mentality, but when I saw these boots online I knew I had to give them a try – and I am so thankful I did, they are GORGEOUS! I’d usually reach for a chelsea ankle boot but I’ve seen this high-rise version styled beautifully by so many ladies on IG and Pinterest that I finally bit the bullet. They run true to size and trust me, they are fabulous.

For size reference, I am wearing a 0 in the J. Crew coat (I ordered a 0 & 2 and the 0 fit best) and a 24 in the Madewell denim (they run a little big, order a size down. The 9 inch rise is my favorite, so flattering!).

How’s your week going, thus far? As I mentioned before, I am headed to Australia on Sunday with my best friend, Elissa. It’s my final month as her Delta “companion” (aka free flights one last time! She’s a flight attendant), so we’re going out with a bang. This week I am getting ahead on blog posts so that I can leisurely sip wine at the beach…let the countdown begin!

Wishing you a wonderful (and warm!) Tuesday. XO

A big thank you to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post! As always, all opinions are my own.
