Happy weekend, ladies! Anyone else feel like this was the longest workweek ever? Thankfully, we made it to Saturday! I am excited to have brunch with a friend at a new restaurant called Fork & Taco this morning, then later tonight am looking forward to swooning over Sam Smith love songs as I hit up his Austin concert with Veronica! If you follow me on Snapchat (my username is livvylandblog), you’ll have noticed I am with one of my best girlfriends a lot lately – that’s Veronica! We have been friends since our college days at UT and lived together for two years after graduating school, and she’s just a doll and always up for Austin adventures with me.

Little White Dress

THIS. DRESS. IS. INCREDIBLE. …I don’t often do the whole totally fitted, body-con dress thing, but if there was ever a time to do it, it’s definitely with this dress! And guess what? It’s only $52! If you’re headed to back to college for the fall semester, or you haven’t quite filled that “little white dress” void in your closet, this may be the one for you. If you’re not into white but you like how this looks/fits, it also comes in a rainbow of other colors – fear not! Daisy Trim Top

A few weeks back, one of my best galpals was in town and we enjoyed a day on South Congress Avenue together. Fear not! We departed for our adventure in the morning, shortly before the sun about killed us all, ha! She (her name is Amanda) was visiting from Chicago and was helping her boyfriend pack his apartment into a Uhaul and drive up to Chicago so they can start their next chapter together! At the time, he was selling this bike…thus, we took the opportunity to soak in a little bike riding around SoCo before we had to say our goodbyes! The first stop was Toms Coffeehouse (of course..!) and then American Apparel where I scooped up this pair of high waist shorts I’d been eyeing for months! Clearly, somewhere in the mix we stopped in front of this cute little complex in Travis Heights neighborhood to snap a few pictures for LL. I must add, it’s been a looong time since I hopped on a bike and I must say…I may have fallen two or three times before getting the hang of it again..ahh, that feeling of childhood – instant nostalgia!

Off the Shoulder Periwinkle

Yep…pretty sure periwinkle is my absolute favorite…isn’t it just the happiest color?! I am especially loving this off the shoulder, tie strap top in periwinkle paired with nude accessories – so classy and chic! Also, who doesn’t love dressing up blue jeans? Comfort is key, in my opinion! 😉

You may have noticed my absence in posting over the past few days and it’s because I went on vacation (finally!) to Chicago to visit two of my best friends from high school and college. Though my Instagram is a pretty good image summary of my trip, I’ll be posting a wrap-up on the blog sometime this week (in between laundry…grocery shopping…my day job…wait, can I just go back on vacation already?! 😉 ). To be brief, it was a perfect weekend and I am quite sad that it’s over! Anyhoo, stay tuned for that blog post coming soon!

Is this not the loveliest little floral dress you’ve ever seen? I swooned as I pulled it out of the mailbox packaging and I about died when I put it on…this thing is CUTE! If you haven’t scoped out the dress (…and romper…and tank top…) scene over at Yumi Kim, you’re in for a treat. This designer specializes in gorgeous silk everything and just understands how to flatter a woman’s figure. Off the Shoulder Stripes

Hello! I hope you had a fabulous weekend! If you kept up with me on Instagram, you’ll know I have been pup sitting and enjoyed a lovely weekend hopping around Austin. This weather was too good not to get outside and enjoy a beer on a restaurant patio at sunset. On Friday night we tried World of Beer of South Lamar and it was soooo yummy. I recommend the fried pickles, pretzels and well, whichever beer you’re into – it was all delicious!

Okay okay, back to my latest look 😉 – I am LOVING this Chicwish off the shoulder striped top…it is so adorable with anything! I wore it with some cutoff, high waist denim shorts last week and this weekend I rocked it with distressed jeans, a la above! I also scooped up a coral pink tea length skirt that I hope to wear with this top at some point this summer…if I ever have an excuse to do something a little more dolled up! 😉 The bottom line? This top is versatile, on trend and adorable…I promise you’ll get a lot of wear out of it, I know I already have!

I accessorized with Kendra Scott Danielle Earrings in Turquoise, my mule wedge sandals, chain link fringe purse and my trusty Topshop fedora hat. My bracelet stack consisted of my Michael Kors turquoise dial watch, Alex + Ani monogram “L” bangle and another Alex + Ani wrap bracelet. I hadn’t ever shopped the Alex + Ani site but after some gals at work wore their monogram bangles, I was totally on this bandwagon…everything is adorable! I also wore my drusy double ring for to top off my look. Big fan of that ring style…can you tell? 😉 I’ve got just a few of them in my jewelry repertoire!

Boho Summer Tunic

Is this flow-y tunic from Chicwish not the cutest thing you’ve ever seen? Not to mention comfortable and breezy, too! Unfortunately, this top sold out in this color pretty quick, but luckily it’s still available in white (it’s going fast, so you may just want to scoop it up asap!). Chicwish has a ton of amazing products to choose from and narrowing down my list was quite the challenge…but I figured you can’t go wrong with a high-low top that can easily transition from summer to fall and make for the perfect layering piece.

To pull of an effortlessly boho look, I paired the tunic with a fabulous fringe bag (also now only available in one color, cognac…but at just $19, it’s a great bag in any color, especially a neutral!), my go-to Toms booties (y’all know by now that these are my favorite), my relaxed fit DL1961 light wash denim jeans (they only have two sizes left at Nordstrom so I linked to Amazon if they don’t have your size) and my reflective Ray-Bans sunnies.

As for jewelry, you know I’m a big fan of layering! I wore my Anna Beck bar pendant necklace (it’s 18k gold and sterling silver, it’s a beauty!) with my arrowhead Kendra Scott necklace and topped it all off with my trusty Stella & Dot wrap bracelet…this thing goes with everything, it’s got gold and silver details = win, along with my drusy double ring by Kendra Scott.
