Soo…let’s talk about this glorious dress and jacket combo here for a second…because it’s caaa-ute! This body-con dress is by Lush from Nordstrom and it’s pretty stinkin’ adorable if you ask me. For one, I love the texture the stripes bring to the dress, not to mention the material is really comfy and stretchy so it’s not constricting at all, and two – the detailed partial slit in the front..umm, gorgeous! Instagram Roundup: Nov. 1st

Hi there lovelies! I hope you all had a fabulous Halloween weekend and are recovering from either too much candy (…or alcohol) consumption just fine this morning. 😉 I had a wonderful weekend and wanted to share a bit from it by way of an Instagram roundup – so you can be sure to catch up on anything you may have missed in LL world lately!

For starters, this past week Blake turned 25 – woooo! He has a massive ongoing work project that has been bogging him down lately, so luckily I was able to sneak in a surprise stay at the JW Marriott in downtown Austin on Friday night and we both disconnected for a bit. If you follow me on Snapchat, you’ll have seen that the JW Marriott definitely went above and beyond to make our stay incredible – giving us the “executive suite” so that we could enjoy a stunning skyline view from the 11th floor, along with treats and cocktails throughout the evening! Let’s just say I’ve never felt so giddy about a hotel before…it was all pretty magical! This swanky hotel is definitely one to try out if you’re headed to Austin or even for a stay-cation, like we had!

Black on Black

Confession: this may be in my top three favorite outfits of all time on the blog…mostly because wearing all black makes me feel like a rockstar…and also because sometimes I secretly wish I could be like Demi Lovato…and I feel like she’d totally rock this outfit. Gah, love me some Demi, and love me some monochromatic outfits. 😉

Though this look is solid black from head to toe, each piece is unique on its own and suuuper gorgeous…and when you combine them, oh-muh-gaw it’s a beautiful thing! The drape front jacket is just $88 (seriously, that’s a STEAL!) and it comes in four colors that are all fabulous additions to any fall color palette. The dress is incredible quality and by one of my favorite designers, Yumi Kim, and is the perfect layering dress or stand alone piece. The deep neckline on the dress (…er..well, deep on me, ha!) is really elegant and makes for one of those special details that make Yumi Kim the stunning brand it is, I feel like she really just gets how to create pieces that flatter our figures!

Cozy Fall Layering

Another thing to love about cooler weather? Layering! Pair a utility jacket with a button up tunic and top it off with a cozy fringe scarf – viola, ready to take on that crisp fall air! Once you get inside, nix the jacket and keep the scarf over the top for a cute and casual look, perfect for the office or lunch or a grocery run…hey, really whatever you’re up to! Given that we’re neaaaaring the end of 80 degree temps in Austin and hopefully moving into the 70s here soon, rocking a button up tank with a jacket will definitely suffice the current temperature. Side note: how cute would this button up tunic be under a chunky cardigan sweater? Love the versatility from just one key piece that takes you from season to season!read more

Fall Trend: Cozy Vests

Pretty vests are definite winners this season! I am loving the look of a gorgeous vest over a long sleeve tee or dress, it adds that perfectly cozy fall touch to an outfit! …Not to mention, these things are SO comfy! It’s like wearing a blanket without actually looking like you’re wearing a blanket…and I’m all about that! 😉 I picked out some favorites I spotted around the online shopping scene, so you can pick out whatever speaks to your style! I just scooped up this one by bb dakota and I am in LOVE. (I’m wearing a small for size reference!). Ps. Olive Green Shift Dress

One of the things I love most about this season = fall colors! Soft neutrals that pair so well together and just give off that effortlessly cool vibe, like olive green, taupe and that mahogany/chestnut color…they all just mesh perfectly! Today I’m featuring this gorgeous (and oh so affordable!) shift dress by Dee Elle. I’ve always liked their dresses, they just seem to fit really well and have super flattering styles….I’m all about that! 😉

I paired the dress with my favorite open toe booties, Brahmin handbag, fedora hat and arrowhead necklace. As temps drop, just add a scarf and trade the peep toe heels for leggings and booties or riding boots – voila, so cute and versatile!read more
