The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is officially here! Today through July 22nd, only Nordstrom cardholders can shop the pre-sale (…and y’all, you’re going to want to shop early…this sale is AMAZING!). Every year, Nordstrom hosts their Anniversary Sale where they have a killer sale on NEW fall products! I’m talking up to 50% on amazing finds like sweaters, jackets, boots, makeup and a TON more! After the sale, items go back up to full price and stay there… so it’s time to scoop up your fall fashion items + gifts to last throughout the year! (…I love stocking up on candles and accessories to give as gifts, you seriously can’t beat these prices for such pretty and nice pieces!).

The sale can be a little overwhelming, so I woke up briiiiight and early to scope out my favorites and the best deals for you to shop!! Ps. If you’ve been thinking of splurging on a new pair of OTK boots, a designer handbag or sunglasses, or a leather jacket – I highly recommend investing during this sale! I treated myself to a a new handbag (love this pretty wine color & can’t beat the price!) and a real leather jacket… Blake and I are tentatively thinking of visiting Paris for our honeymoon, so I’ll need a quality jacket while we’re there! …Not to mention I’ve been eying a real leather jacket for nearly a year now…how gorgeous is this one?! Can’t wait for it to arrive in the mail!

One last thing! Items during this sale pretty much go like hot cakes, so I recommend ordering a couple size options if you’re unsure of the fit and then returning the ones that don’t work out. Tassel Trim Summer Sweater

Hey gals, how was your holiday weekend? Though I am reluctantly getting back into the ‘ol workweek groove, I’m feeling refreshed and well rested after the long weekend! Blake and I spent most of it of getting in some quality exercise by swimming, running and staying outdoors the majority of the weekend…and it was exactly what I needed! Crochet White Summer Dress

Hey there! I don’t know about y’all, but I’m pretty darn excited for this holiday weekend – that whole 3-days-off thing has come at a great time because this week was crazy busy! Very ready to slow down and recover from it…and enjoy some r&r time with Blake and my family! As mentioned, this week was madness…true story: I had a cryfest from stress that ended with half a bottle of wine and a soak in the tub more than once this week haha! I’m a mess, I know…constantly working on my “zen” … Hey, we all have our good and bad days – I guess this week was not in my favor..! Hopefully that means next week will be amaaaazing and a breeze, right? 😉 . But hey, I had a couple of highs mixed into my lows, and one of them was meeting up with my friend and old co-worker Kathryn (she runs Kathryn Frazer Photography) to snap some photos and catch up over coffee. It was SO wonderful to see her and talk about literally everything – she definitely had me laughing and distracted from my never ending to-do list!

Before we sat down for coffee, we did a quick little shoot in this suuuper perfect white flowy dress by Free People. Seriously, how adorable is this dress with the wrap-up sandals? Gah, I am in LOVE!

The Perfect Date Night Look

Hello there! How’s your weekend going? So far, I’ve spent my Saturday drinking coffee and cleaning up around the apartment – isn’t that generally how weekends go once you reach adulthood? Ha! Dishes, laundry…ohh you know, just livin’ the dream! 😉 I know I say this every weekend, but maybe one day I’ll feel like I have my life together – if it’s not one thing it’s another. Then again, if a messy apartment is the worst of my problems at the moment, I think I’m doing okay!

Though I’m in track shorts and a giant old t-shirt cleaning up in the morning, come Saturday night I am SO ready for a yummy drink and a patio dinner date with my darling! We are trying to save money and eat out less (…we’ve recently been talking about starting to buckle down and save for a house) so one strategy is to have one big date night on the weekend and cook dinner at home the rest of the time. (…We’ll see how that goes…going to try our hardest but working around two crazy schedules makes a dinner routine tough to nail down!). That said, on that one night a week, I’m going to want to look and feel beautiful (working from home = I am in jeans and a tee on most days!) – so wearing the perfect date night outfit is a must! 😉

South Congress Coffee Run

Hi ladies! Hope your week is off to a great start! 🙂 I’ve been in go-go-go mode working on some fun collaborations and lots of new Style Me Pretty posts to come (wahoo! Working on my bach trip roundup feature…can’t wait to share!) – and I also got to venture over to South Congress Avenue and stop by one of my favorite coffeehouses, Jo’s Coffee, for a suuuuper yummy Iced Turbo (espresso, chocolate, hazelnut, cold brew coffee and cream…omg YUM) and some galpal time with one of my best friends! …Who I also asked to snap some photos while we were there (..pretty sure my friends just expect this by now haha) because that bomber jacket + striped dress = in love and had to share with y’all!

I’ve seen so many girls rocking bomber jackets all over Pinterest and after going on a hunt to find the perfect one (…and within my budget range!), I found it at Express! Y’all…this thing is SO cute for all seasons (…I mean, it’ll get cooler at night in Austin soon, right? 😉 …and if not, the ‘ol 90’s style around-the-waist thing works in the meantime, ha!) and I love it with the high neck striped dress (on super sale!). Summer Ready

Hey gals! How’s your weekend going? Hope you got to spend some quality time with all the dads in your life today! I’m excited to finish up some housework then head over to my parents house for an afternoon cookout and a trip with my nieces and nephews to the pool – looking forward to lots of toddler cuddles and vitamin D – sounds like bliss to me! 😉
