Sorry for the radio silence on LL this week (…and my Insta feed), I’ve had a bad case of the flu that pretty much kicked my butt! Not going to lie, as awful as I’ve been feeling, I think it’s my body telling me to “cool muhh jets” and literally do a whole lotta n-o-t-h-i-n-g for a week straight. So! That’s exactly what I’ve been doing. Movie watching, Netflix and actual chilling (Masters of None is SO GOOD!), going to sleep at 6pm for the past five days straight. Blake has been the best care taker and sweetest husband…I definitely lucked out, he is a true gem!
Hey gals! Been a while since I’ve done a “5 Favorites” post here on LL. Throughout my Spain travels, I received a lot of questions about my favorite travel sandals (…in particular, who makes the ones I’m wearing above). Thus, today I’m excited share my go-to summer sandals for traveling (and everyday wear!). Though I normally share five faves, I narrowed my list down to just three because I’m pretty particular about my travel sandals…gotta make sure you can walk for miles in these! (…and I swear by each one below!).
There’s something about poppy red that has me swooning these days. It’s such a fun, happy color and it goes great with cognac accessories + shoes (which y’all know is a must for me! 😉 ). This little floral number is certain to be one of those adorable dresses on repeat this summer – my galpal Elissa and I rotated wearing it in Barcelona, ha! Such a breezy material and just makes you feel ultra good and feminine. It’s really the perfect dress from day to night and work to play!
You see that face above? That’s the face of someone who is relaxed, rested, taking it easy and overall…happy. The past 10 days traveling have been overwhelmingly wonderful – I look out at the ocean and am filled with gratitude. To be here in Spain with my closest friends, all of us growing and going through different things yet able to sync up…to take a break from our busy lives and prioritize each others company, it’s something quite special and treasured to me!
Yes. You read correctly…I said SKORT! As in, the shorts + skirt hybrid that was the “it” thing to wear in the 90s. At first I was hesitant…but then I tried this cutie on and BAM not only was the fit amazing, it gave me some serious pep in my step! You get the feminine vibe of a skirt, mixed perfectly with the carefree feel of shorts – and that, my friends, is a definite win in my book! Bend, snap, skip, jump…you name it, this outfit lets you (and kind of encourages you) to do it all.
I’ve had quite a few requests to style a pair of high rise shorts here on LL, so today I’m excited to finally give y’all a little OOTD inspiration! You can’t go wrong rocking a pair of classic Levi’s, and these high waist shorts are cute, comfy and can be worn a million different ways…
