As we hit high temperatures here in Austin, I’m gravitating towards fringe anything (is this bag not tuhh-die?), off the shoulder tops and easy breezy relaxed-fit jeans. I ventured over to Cenote Coffeehouse for a fun little coffee talk / blog shoot sesh. You know me….if there’s coffee, I’m there…and a happy camper! 😉

Yellow Pom Pom Shorts

Perhaps the best news to hit your Monday is…drumroll…these adorable, lace pom pom shorts are back in stock! I saw these at Target on my lunch break a couple weeks back and couldn’t resist a pair of precious yellow shorts, just in time for summer! Sadly, they sold out everywhere just days after I’d picked up a pair of my own.

First off….these jeans are JUST $7! Trust me, they are awesome – I wear mine all the time! (No really, just ask my co-workers ha!). I went shopping for jeans a few months back and bought a pair of Lucky Brand jeans for over $100, then stopped into Forever21 to scope out their selection and I found these in all of their under-$10-glory. Bargain shopping FTW.

Side-Slit Stripes

Anyone else have a serious affinity for stripes? I certainly do! And guess what…this fab high-slit tee is only $14! I am in loooove! Stripes, black high waist skinnies, these incredibly comfy and adorable Tom’s booties and a pop of color via my Marc by Marc Jacobs bag, turquoise necklace and watch = yes, please, all day any day.

Those Joggers Tho

These Mint Clothing Co. joggers (now on sale) are my new go-to pants for a “comfort meets style” outfit. Fabulous with sneakers like these New Balance tennies, or equally as adorable dressed up with some nude heels and a chambray button up, these harem joggers are super versatile and perfect for a quick coffee run or lunch with your gal-pals. I mixed metals by wearing gold necklaces and a rose gold bracelet and watch, then topped off the look with a blush pink clutch to compliment the pastel blue chambray top.

Hooray for 80 degree weekends and babydoll dresses! Who doesn’t love when comfort and fashion combine to create the cutest little button of dress?! Oh and it gets better…this dress is $15! Seriously, I love love love Forever21. I don’t care if walking into a store makes my head spin from too many options and clothing racks everywhere I turn…their stuff is cute and affordable! Ps. That’s what online shopping is for! 😉

Warby Parker Class Trip – Pit Stop, Austin

One of my best gal-pals and college roomie (I’ve known her since first grade, actually – my longest friend!), Anj, and I took a little drive around Austin this weekend and of course, wound up doing some shopping. En route to Zilker Park to take advantage of the gorgeous weather, we passed by the oh-so-adorable Warby Parker yellow school bus popup shop off Barton Springs Road and just had to stop in.

I’ve been a huge WP fan for a while now and was fortunate enough to scope out a storefront while visiting friends in NYC last year, but what a pleasure it was to have one of their cute little shops in my own city! If there was ever a perfect place for Warby Parker to open up another store, it’s definitely Austin…home to fashionistas and hipsters…or more appropriately, “hipster-fashionistas”…aka their glasses are already a hit with this city. Anj and I tried on nearly every pair on the bus – both sunnies and optical glasses. She walked away with a pair of two-tone Burke optical glasses (they are seriously perfection), while I solidified that I’d made the right choice months ago with my Lyle glasses in English Oak.

If you’re on the hunt for a new pair of inexpensive, high quality frames (sunglasses or other), definitely stop by the Warby Parker bus, open daily from 11am – 7pm! (You really can’t miss a giant yellow bus along the side of the road…). And if you don’t live in Austin or NYC, you can shop their fabulous selection online – and even try before you buy!

Green Dress

So, while it’s 70 degrees in Austin, I shall dress the part! This amazing, army green body-con dress is by Topshop for Nordstrom and it’s fab-u-lous! Given that it was finally warm enough for me to throw off my scarf and jacket, I slipped into this dress and grabbed my favorite brown clutch and rose gold jewelry. (this is a size 4 (fits 0-2 US sizes) but I recommend getting a size up because it definitely hugs your body everywhere!). Oh yes, and my sunnies are Toms, also sold at Nordstrom. I always think of nail polish as another accessory, and the warmer temperatures and sunny skies just called for white nails…I know what you’re thinking, it’s mid-January and where is my oxblood or nudie polish?! However, happy weather calls for the happiest nail color, and white just does the trick! (Even still, this dress would be gorgeous with dark nails, a black blazer, black tights and black booties – ba-bam! Winter perfection).

Happy weekend, everyone! If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that this lovely Free People dress is finally on sale from $168 to just $65…such a deal! It’s carried at quite a few stores but I recently discovered that Macy’s has marked it down to the lowest price yet. (And okay, okay, these pictures are from a few months back when I featured this dress, hence the long hair again – forgive me, new pictures are on the way!).
