I’ve got a thing for wine colored tops these days..! I think it’s a subconscious choice…I’ve also become more of a “wino” than ever before. In a healthy way, not in an overindulgence kinda way haha. It’s really just sooo nice to sit down with a yummy glass of cabernet (or whatever else we have in our kitchen…I don’t discriminate!) after a long day and sip on something and feel relaxed. Now I understand why women buy all those funny wine quotes and hang them in their kitchens…it’s all TRUE. Like this one, “For instant ‘happy woman’ just add wine.” LOL. Yes!

Hello there! Hope your week is off to a good start! I’ve been MIA over the past few days (on the blog at least…you can always find me on Instagram or Snapchat though, ha) working on some exciting blog collaborations and seeing old friends. One of my best girlfriend’s is in town from New York and got snowed in a few more days (poor thing that she can’t get back home, lucky me that I get to see her more, ha!). Yesterday I drove to Houston to work on a super fun project with BHLDN (where I got my wedding dress! It’s the bridal store by Anthropologie) and I can’t wait to show y’all all that big feature coming in February…so stay tuned for that post, eek!

Cozy Tunic & Utility Jacket

Comfy meets classic with a pop of color for this outfit! Over the weekend I met one of my best friends for a coffee sesh on South Congress (if you follow me on Snapchat, you probably know Veronica by now!). She was spending the weekend at the new South Congress Hotel, so I went to scope it out (umm, it’s GORG…like, the most beautiful industrially designed bachelor pad in hotel form – ha! So so pretty and lovely). So, after melting over the beauty of her hotel room, we strolled over to the Tom’s bungalow for some coffee and a little window shopping (it’s an actual miracle that I didn’t buy anything…the shoessunglasses…definitely tested my self control). We decided to snap some photos en route to the coffeehouse…thus – this outfit is the perfect “weekend stroll” look…which is basically how I dress no matter the occasion..y’all know me, all about casual + cute looks over here!

Green Trench Coat & Tan Loafers

livvyland-blog-olivia-watson-green-trench-coat-halogen-chambray-button-up-madewell-tan-english-saddle-loafer-leather-flats-austin-texas-fashion-blogger-3Hello there! It feels like it’s been a while since I last sat down and put together an outfit post (a whopping 4 days, ha). I’m currently sitting on my sofa with a bottle of wine staring at me from the kitchen…I told myself I’d go exercise before I popped it open! I’ve been feeling really diligent about my workout routine and hope to keep it up. Not only do I have a lot more energy now thanks to working out, but I just feel a lot better about myself in general…funny how that happens…a simple change and voila, an itty bitty confidence boost…sometimes I think the confidence thing is more of an incentive than anything else to keep on truckin’ when it comes to exercising.

Utility Vest & Stripes

livvyland-blog-olivia-watson-army-green-utility-vest-fringe-handbag-brown-chelsea-boots-booties-austin-texas-fashion-blogger-3For starters, y’all know I love a good striped shirt (…pretty sure my Instagram is 50/50 stripes and cozy sweaters right now…ha!) and this Caslon striped tee for just $25 is a definite in my winter weather wardrobe. I have it in two colors (well…two striped variations, see my other one here) and I love how soft and comfy this top is. It comes in a TON of color options, and if you’re more on the neutral side and like to keep a classic black or white long sleeve on hand during these colder months, I highly recommend this one. I’m wearing a size small and it fits great!

You can never go wrong investing in high quality neutral pieces – and this BB Dakota jacket is a chic, timeless classic that looks gorgeous over a dress, sweater, or even a tee shirt with a cozy scarf like I’m wearing above. Oh, and it’s under $100 – woo woo!

The Perfect Faux Leather Jacket

livvyland-blog-olivia-watson-faux-leather-moto-jacket-blanknyc-austin-texas-fashion-blogger-2Hello there ladies! I hope you’ve all had a fabulous holiday break and were able to soak in some quality time with your loved ones! I certainly made the most of a few days off work (and even took a break from blog-land) to enjoy some friends who came into town over the holiday break. Most of my best friends live in Chicago and New York but are from Austin, too (these are the folks I’ve known for over 10 years and grew up with), and I got so spoiled over the past two weeks because one after the other they all came into town to visit their families – which meant I got to see everyone, too. It was so nice to hang out and take them around Austin (this city has transformed in the past few years…so half the places we went weren’t there even a year ago) and have drinks and just catch up. If you follow me on Snapchat [username: livvylandblog], then you definitely got to see what we were up to most of the time! (…One night involved lots of wine and trying to fit a “Waist Shaper” on my GBF, Ben….needless to say, it was amazing and hilarious and y’all…we got it to fit, ha!).

Cable Front Sweater

livvyland-blog-olivia-watson-austin-texas-fashion-blogger-marasala-cable-knit-oversize-sweater-vigoss-distressed-skinny-jeans-wayfarer-ray-ban-sunglasses-6Distressed jeans & a big ‘ol cozy sweater…what’s not to love?! Did I mention my sweater is now on sale for just $32? Down from $54! Oh, and my jeans are now on sale for $38…and my shoes are 40% off ($89) and these adorable Ray Ban sunnies are also on sale! Now, that’s something to get cheery about. 😉

My sweater is by Cotton Emporium and I am in LOVE with this thing. It’s naturally an oversized fit and I thought this “rose brown” color was just too pretty to pass up. In case you’re concerned with the feel of the knit, I am not a fan of fabrics that are remotely itchy and I can assure you this sweater is only soft and not the least bit itchy. (True story: when I was a kid I had to wear long sleeve shirts under my dance costumes because I hated anything itchy that touched my skin! …Those recital photos are pretty great, not gonna lie, ha!). This sweater comes in three colors, so if you’re more into a cream or neutral palette, definitely check them out (and at that price? umm yes, please!).

Mixing Prints: Plaid & Stripes

livvyland-blog-olivia-watson-topshop-plaid-top-striped-shirt-leigh-skinny-jeans-winter-layers-kendra-scott-rayne-necklace-white-pearl-austin-texas-fashion-blogger-2Hi there, ladies! Sorry I’ve been MIA from blog-land these past few days…I think after all of the holiday sales/shopping madness recently, I was in desperate need of a strong alcoholic beverage (or two..) and a break from my laptop! Thus, I took the weekend to drink wine and good beer, spend time with my new nephew (so excited to have a brand new baby join the family for Christmas!), grab lunch and get some shopping done with my mama, and deep clean my apartment (…er, well, help Blake deep clean the apartment..he deserves a gold medal for putting up with my stuff dispersed everywhere all the time..thanks Blake if you’re reading this!!). Me oh my, after writing all of that down…I surprisingly feel quite accomplished over these past few days! I am officially one of those people that has to pencil in “relaxation” time…hence indulging in both wine and beer this weekend…and I’m actually pretty proud that I was able to chill out that much!
