Gingham Top & Round Straw Handbag

Ohh the dreaded Tuesday following a holiday weekend…I am absolutely feeling that dark cloud looming over my head! I am on my second coffee of the day, been jamming new Miley quite loudly (…perks of a house, no one bangs on the wall for me to shut up haha!) and am desperately trying to shake this wonky feeling that won’t seem to go away. I’ve got an inbox filled with to-do’s (…maybe if I don’t open them, they’ll just disappear…isn’t that how it works? 😉 ), a sink filled with dishes and lots of content to prep (hooray June posts – I’ve got some fun stuff in the works! …Just need to get to it, ah!). Alas, I reach for my laptop, close out my emails and get started in writing this blog post…my therapy!

I should also mention that this precious top is on major sale, just $35! I figured spreading good news may provide some joy to myself, as well. 🙂

Printed Dress & Blush Jacket

livvyland-blog-olivia-watson-austin-texas-fashion-blogger-razorback-shift-dress-paisley-printed-hammitt-la-vip-clutch-blush-draped-front-jacket-blazer-6…Of course I post this juuuust as the weather drops a bit in Austin! Ha, typical..! 😉 I guess that draped front jacket will come in handy again…however, I may swap the breezy shift dress for jeans until the heat comes back (…it’s been VERY windy in Austin…trust me, makes for quite an interesting public photo session haha! Which mostly consists of me leaning up closely against the wall and trying my hardest to keep my dress from flying up from all angles, half mortified and half genuinely terrified the wind will win that battle…I gotta say, Marilyn made that moment look pretty darn graceful, ha! Those outtakes will just stay in my trash folder…that’s for sure.. 😉 ).

Now that I’ve spilled my guts about the awkward woes of snapping photos in public (ha! That is a true struggle of mine, quite a weird and vulnerable thing to do!), we can move on to this look..(the good stuff, right? 😉 ). My dress is a razorback shift dress that has a zipper down the back (as you can see in the 4th photo in this post) and a fabulous paisley print and some intricate stitching along the bustline. This thing is TOO cute and so perfect to take you from spring (when paired with a jacket) all the way to summer (literally just nix the jacket..okay and maybe add a tan…and perhaps a topknot if we’re talkin’ Texas heat 😉 and voila, golden for summer! This dress is super affordable and I’m wearing a size small for reference. I’m a big fan of Sun & Shadow products, too, LOVE this brand and buy a lot of their pieces! Great fit, quality and an amazing price point.

20 Trendy Shoes For Spring

Hi there, ladies – hope you had a great weekend! The past couple of days were jam packed (but very good!) on my end…! I had a big event in Dallas (a day of activities and brunch sponsored by Who What Wear, Palm Breeze and My Domaine) that I co-hosted with Ashley from Sugar and Cloth yesterday…Y’all…she is SO fabulous!! It was so refreshing to meet such a down to earth and humble – and very successful – blogger (honestly, that’s a rarity these days it seems – thus, it was seriously wonderful and made the day extremely enjoyable and a lot of fun). Her boyfriend Jeremy is her photographer and equally as nice and funny, that duo is crazy talented and just overall a really cool couple. We all just hit it off upon meeting, it was so much fun! My mom made the drive from Austin to Dallas with me (aren’t mom’s the best? Always so thoughtful!!) and we left at 5am to get to the event with enough time for me to spend about 20 minutes in a gas station restroom (hey, gotta work with what you can while road tripping!) on the way there to do my hair/makeup – ha! Always keepin’ it classy over here! 😉 We showed up with a few minutes to spare and then everything just fell into place and worked out beautifully for the event, it was a lovely time and I am so grateful to have met everyone who came out for the day to enjoy it! Right after we wrapped up, my mom and I were back on the road to Austin…seriously, she is a GEM for being so involved in my blogging life (…and volunteering to wake up at 4am just to drive with me…), I adore her like crazy and appreciate her company so much!
