Freshening Up For Spring

Spring has arrived! Over the weekend we visited a local plant nursery and scooped up some fresh flowers for our patio. Nicer weather means more time spent outside…whether hanging with Jude on the deck throughout the day (he sleeps SO well out there), or enjoying some time out and about around Austin. A few wardrobe staples I’m loving for spring are overalls (nursing friendly!), peasant tops and of course, comfortable and CUTE shoes!

Any other Sperry Boat Shoe lovers out there? I’ve been a fan of the brand since high school and I actually had this exact same pair in college and wore them like crazy! Not even joking when I tell you I wore them daily around campus (…you can ask my friends and they’d vouch for me haha). The leather softens with each wear and eventually you’re left with super comfortable, wear-with-everything loafers. AND they’re under $100! I am normally a size 7 in shoes but after reading some reviews decided to go with a 6.5 and they fit perfectly. Y’all know me…sucker for brown/cognac everything when it comes to shoes and bags, so the Sahara color option was my go-to. I’m wearing the Authentic Original Boat Shoe, which is their signature classic style.

After stocking up on plants, Blake and I (…with Jude in the front wrap!) grabbed coffee and enjoyed a relaxing day together. Weekends with our little family are my favorite, we’re having so much fun experiencing outings with Jude for the first time – no matter how short or small they may be. He normally falls asleep as soon as he goes outside (it’s bright!), but he was super alert at the plant nursery and soaking up all the contrasting colors – it was so cool to see!
