Hello there! How’s your week going? I’ve been a busy bee in New York City for the last five days…it was a whirlwind but SO fun! NYC during the holidays truly is as magical as it looks in the movies (…clearly I had high expectations over here, ha) and it was quite incredible to experience. Rockefeller Center, 5th Avenue window displays (swoon!), Union Square holiday market, sipping hot chocolate all bundled up in coats and scarves…yep, definitely not my typical Texas winter and I enjoyed every second. Aaaand as sad as I am to leave my best friends and the fabulous NYC energy, I am very much looking forward to some hubby and Watson cuddles asap when I get back to Austin!
Do you follow other fashion bloggers? I am such a fan of following the high fashion gals in particular (…always so fascinating to me!) and a trend I’ve seen pop up often these days is all about the hook hem. Every now and then I’ll see a trend that intrigues me enough to try, and this one fully captured my attention. It’s a little edgy but mostly just interesting (and kind of just plain “cool”) – my mom AND my photographer both told me these were some of the coolest jeans they’d ever seen…I mean…when MamaWat approves of an outfit, you know it’s good. 😉
7 For All Mankind has consistently been a high quality and fashion forward brand that continues to create jeans that are both on trend and extra flattering. From classic denim to more trendy, adventurous silhouettes and embellishments, they’ve got it all. And psst…good news, a TON of different styles are now on sale at Nordstrom…good jeans on sale? Yes, please! My jeans are also on sale and for sizing reference, they run large – I recommend going a full size down.
I don’t branch out of my happy little fashion bubble often, but when I do, I don’t stray too far. 😉 I paired the hook hem jeans with a cozy cold shoulder knit sweater (trust me, this one is sooo soft) and a cute “baker boy” hat. Big fan of this hat trend…I think it’s adorable!
What winter trends are you excited to try out this year? Wishing you all a wonderful start to your week! XO
