Chenille Cardigan

When Austin weather decides to go from winter to warmer temps within a day (gah! The struggle to get dressed each day, ha), reaching for a soft tee and an ultra cozy cardigan is always a good idea. Y’all know I’m a sucker for a casual look you can wear all day, everyday – and this outfit is no exception! I am not normally one to go for the orange color option (this cardigan also comes in a white), but given my city (and alma mater), I figured a little burnt orange was a solid color to add to my cardigan assortment…and I gotta say, I’m definitely into it!
If you saw this blog post from last week, you may notice I’m having a moment with chenille (that ultra plush, soft, cozy material my cardigan is made of)…my best friend Elissa wore a chenille sweater during our time in Iceland, and the minute we touched down in Austin after our trip, I hopped on over to Urban Outfitters to scoop up some fresh chenille goodies of my own! No itch, as soft as it looks and truly a staple piece I can wear with my jammies (…as I take Watson out in the middle of the night…!) and pair with jeans for a coffee date with my hubby. 🙂

My tee is also from Urban Outfitters and I can’t recommend it enough!! THE softest, coziest shirt (I’ll actually sometimes sleep in this one, too…) and I’m wearing size XS. My denim are the classic Levi’s 721 I always wear (…sea of denim, yet I rotate a constant three pairs haha ah!) and my SHOES ARE MAGICAL! I got them last season and I am so excited because they are BACK! True to size and the most perfect taupe ankle booties – shop ’em here.

Do you have a busy week ahead? Blake and I are headed to NYC tomorrow for a fun event with the Home Depot team! The event is Thursday but we’re planning to stay through the weekend…we’ve never done NYC together…excited for coffee dates, touristy things and dinners with friends. Looking forward to it!
