Hi gals, how’s your week going? Mine is movin’ along just fine – productive but relaxed…imagine that for me? I am normally a giant ball of stress by the middle of the month, but I’ve been making a point to keep repeating the word “balance” in my head throughout the day so that I don’t allow myself to get overwhelmed. Truth be told, it’s been helping me a TON! Also helps to prioritize my schedule and then nix the rest…I’ve even been shutting my laptop by the time Blake gets home from work. I feel healthy, more present and above all, happy. Hoping I can turn this new mantra into a lifestyle. I am understanding more and more just how important work/life balance is!

The blogging world is one of those industries that you kind of have to navigate blindly on your own…if you keep working hard and producing good quality content, more opportunities come up and you feel like you’ve unpeeled another layer of the “unknown.” There’s no manual with all the answers, no secret recipe for “blogging success.” For me, it has been a ton of trial and error, vulnerability, embarrassment at times, great days, horrible days, you name it – I’ve experienced it. However, there are a few things I reaaaaaally wish someone would have given me a heads up about. Thus, if I can save you the grief by sharing this list, I am happy to do so! That said, let’s get to it!

Texas Road Trip: Marfa & Big Bend

Hello sweet friends! First off, thank you for the unbelievably kind words about our wedding reveal post from yesterday…I don’t think I stopped smiling all day – y’all are the best! I am very pleased to close our wedding chapter and forever fondly look back. 🙂 Second, it’s a miracle, buuuut I am actually getting better about sharing travel wrap-ups (well sort of…Greece is still on the way, ah!) within a timely manner, so before the week is up, I am SO excited to share my west Texas road trip! One of my besties, Kayla, and I drove from Austin, to Marfa, to Big Bend National Park and back to Austin last weekend. It was quite the four day journey, and so so so incredible! (Yes, worthy of THREE “so’s” 😉 )…

Our Wedding Day!

Ohh my heart! Going through photos to create this post really brought out so many emotions! I purposefully didn’t wear makeup as I put this one together knowing I’d be a blubbery mess, ha! Excuse my delay in getting this post up, after a restful January, starting fresh in February just felt like the right time to share our wedding photos! It has been such an incredible treat to be a Blogger Bride for SMP and I hope I was able to provide some helpful planning tips and inspiration to current and future bride-to-be’s!

Blake and I have been hitched for four months now and life could not be any sweeter. I truly love him more each day and we have grown closer than ever…it really feels right that we are “husband” and “wife” – I don’t think there are any words more suitable for the bond we have. When people ask us if it feels different to be married, I always say yes, but that it’s tough to describe. It’s a comfort level unlike before, knowing you’ve got a best friend for life and someone who loves you equally, forever.
