Daisy Trim Top

A few weeks back, one of my best galpals was in town and we enjoyed a day on South Congress Avenue together. Fear not! We departed for our adventure in the morning, shortly before the sun about killed us all, ha! She (her name is Amanda) was visiting from Chicago and was helping her boyfriend pack his apartment into a Uhaul and drive up to Chicago so they can start their next chapter together! At the time, he was selling this bike…thus, we took the opportunity to soak in a little bike riding around SoCo before we had to say our goodbyes! The first stop was Toms Coffeehouse (of course..!) and then American Apparel where I scooped up this pair of high waist shorts I’d been eyeing for months! Clearly, somewhere in the mix we stopped in front of this cute little complex in Travis Heights neighborhood to snap a few pictures for LL. I must add, it’s been a looong time since I hopped on a bike and I must say…I may have fallen two or three times before getting the hang of it again..ahh, that feeling of childhood – instant nostalgia!

I am all for a flirty little top with an incredible pair of jeans, and this daisy trim striped top from Topshop, paired with this AMAZING pair of jeans (seriously, these are insanely amazing!) just seemed right to me. I topped off the look with a felt hat (a must-have in town given that the sun hits ya pretty hard throughout the day, a lariat necklace by Nashelle (with moonstones at the ends, so so cute, big fan of this designer!) and my fave pair of cognac wedges – which were a steal at Target!

**I am wearing a size 6 in the top and a size 26 in the jeans. (The top runs snug, I normally wear a size 2 in tops but ordered up for this one!)
