Hi ladies! Eek, I am SO excited to finally share with you all a fun (and playful and very colorful 😉 ) collab I’ve been hard at work on these past couple of weeks with the wonderful team over at Kate Spade New York! Their adorable new Broome Street collection just launched and I couldn’t more thrilled to give you all a peek at how I am styling a few of my favorite pieces.

As you know if you’ve followed me for a while, I am constantly drawn to casual tops that can easily be styled in more ways than one (…have y’all seen my Instagram lately? ha! Let’s just say my tops get a lot of wear) and this pretty white ‘Everyday Tee‘ is a welcomed addition to my wardrobe. Rather than show you how I’d style this tee in multiple ways over the span of a few weeks or months, I thought it would be fun to get right down to it and feature 3 adorable ways to wear this classic tee – in one blog post! (Psst..I added a bonus look that I kind of had to have as soon as I saw it online – hey, y’all know I’m a major sucker for stripes! 😉 )

Good evening, ladies! Keeping this post short & sweet because I am one tired gal! After a whirlwind of a weekend (including a trip to Houston yesterday – got home at midnight last night!), I am in desperate need of some r&r time for myself – a bubble bath then my cozy bed, here I come! 😉

Thermal Tee & Distressed Skinny Jeans

Haaaappy Friday, gals! I know I say this every week…but I am seriously SO glad it’s the weekend! I hope you all had a wonderful week and have some fun plans for the next couple of days ahead – or perhaps have no plans and get to enjoy a full r&r weekend to yourself (aren’t those the best? Very rare and must be cherished haha). I have a crazy busy weekend planned but it will all be a lot of fun! Tomorrow we’re celebrating my sweet nephew’s 3rd birthday with a big ‘ol kiddo-gym shindig (basically 30 adorable kids running around with giant smiles on their faces for a few hours straight…while Blake and I sit back in the corner and eat pizza and drink juice boxes together – ha!). Then Saturday evening we’re getting all dolled up for the Blanton Museum Gala – a live band and Blake in a suit, ha! Sign me up! 😉 …and I get to bust out my new Kate Spade heels…double YAY! Then on Sunday my mom and sister and I are going to drive to Houston to try on some bridesmaid dresses at BHLDN (…I know, I know, I’m a little obsessed with this store haha). There’s one particular style in mind for our wedding and I can’t wait to see what it looks like on my sister…will share some scenes from the trip on Snapchat (livvylandblog), so follow along!

I Said Yes To The Dress! BHLDN Houston Bridal Salon

Hi gals! Eek, I could not be more excited to finally share my wedding dress shopping ins and outs with you! After an iffy start to dress shopping in Austin (let’s just say I had no idea what I was getting myself into!), I finally found THE bridal salon that felt right and had a selection of dresses that was definitely more suitable for my style and what I had in mind for our “big day” – at BHLDN in Houston! BHLDN is Anthropologie’s bridal boutique…hence the stunning storefront and perfectly whimsical, lovely vibe of not only the dress selections, but the decor, too. Needless to say, I felt right at home in this store!

Given that I’m in Austin, my mom and I actually made an appointment at BHLDN a few months ago and took a little weekend road trip (it’s a 3-hour drive) to stay with my aunt who lives in Galveston (a little beach city about 45 minutes from Houston) and made plans to enjoy a relaxing girls weekend together and of course, head over to BHLDN for my appointment on a Saturday afternoon. (Ps. Make your appointment weeks in advance, this store fills up quick!!). It was so nice for my aunt to come along, too, we had THE best time and our first bridal associate, Paige, was such a gem and so helpful along the way! (Seriously…get us gals sipping champagne during a sappy occasion such as wedding dress shopping = we were in for a good time, ha!). It was during this appointment that I found THE dress of my dreams – happy tears, hugs and all that good stuff ensued once I made my choice!

Time to Stock Up! Nordstrom 40% Off Sale

Yes..totally following up my sale roundup post from yesterday with another sale…because really, this one is just TOO good not to share! This morning I ventured out to Nordstrom with my sister and her little ones and though we got distracted by Great American Cookie Company and the Lego store (…or rather, to keep the kiddos from running every which direction in the mall haha), I was able to sneak by the major markdown racks at Nords! Sadly, they didn’t have a ton in store (except for that first green coat on the left and it’s soo pretty!! It runs big, so order a size down, the XS was even a tad big on me), however, after scouring their online assortment…I must say, this sale is pretty darn incredible. I have a winter coat in my checkout basket as we speak (…and still eyeing about 5 pairs of shoes right now…eek!). Fear not, will post my coat asap as soon as I try it on in person! 😉

Weekend Wear: ‘Athleisure’ Favorites with ModCloth

Happy Saturday, ladies! I am super excited to chat about one of my favorite trends (that I have a feeling may just stick around forever..!) – “athleisure” … ya know, that whole might be working out later but probably just running errands or grabbing coffee in a very stylish yet somewhat athletic outfit… 😉 Ha! Basically in the city of Austin, this look is acceptable at all times. And I’m definitely not complaining! 😉 You probably saw me post an athleisure look last weekend on my Instagram feed, and the outfit was such a hit that I decided to do a full on blog post sharing my outfit details and more of my comfy, lounge-y, athleisure favorites from ModCloth.

Happy weekend, ladies! What are you up to this Saturday? I am up early opening the mail from this past week (lots of packages filled with spring goodies for the blog!) and doing my best to organize our life (ya know, do the dishes…get the laundry going…all that fun, glamorous stuff 😉 Blake pulled an all nighter for work on Thursday night for a big project, so he’s sleeping like a bebe in the next room haha) before my mom and sister get here to scoop me up and head out to our wedding venue!
