I’ve been scouring my closet lately for pieces that I can seamless transition from summer temps to fall weather and I came across this airy crochet trim dress from Lookbook Store – just $27! I loved this as a cute little dress with sandals for summer and realized that the length is actually very flattering with a pair of skinny jeans, too. Hello gals! WHAT a weekend! I hope you all had a lovely and relaxing Saturday/Sunday…I certainly did until it all came crashing down on me tonight…woooo, love when that happens and I neglect my email for two days and then realize I am so behind on my life! (But hey, sanity over organization, right?). Yesterday morning I ventured to Houston/Galveston with my mom for a weekend getaway and an appointment at BHLDN bridal boutique…I know, I know, but I already announced that I found THE dress?! Well, let’s just say it wasn’t quite THE one and I actually found my perfect fit this weekend…and this time I am 100% certain, and it’s SO gorgeous I can’t contain my excitement! Now I just have to wait a year and a couple of weeks to wear it! 😉

I hope you’ve all had an incredible long weekend! Let’s just say Blake and I definitely indulged over the past few days. Way too much beer, good brunch in downtown Austin, long naps (ahh makes me miss my “nap time” in college, ha!), lazy movie nights in…yada yada, needless to say it was a weekend well spent with an abundance of much needed relaxation! Ps. We watched Still Alice last night and let’s just say I cried SO much that my face is officially “sad puffy” this morning…ha! Such a good movie, Julianne Moore is phenomenal…it’s definitely one to watch with a tub of ice cream in hand…or bottle of wine to drown your sorrows…ha!

Lace Crochet Bell Sleeve Top
Going for the feminine boho look today in this pretty lacy, crochet blouse with high waist jeans. I love how airy and light this top is – oh, and did I mention it’s only $13? Pretty darn amazing if you ask me! It looks so great paired with nude wedges and a fringe bag…and I went a little more modern by rocking it with the skinny jeans. By the way, these jeans are not only ridiculously adorable, but I’d been on the hunt for a pair of comfortable high waist pants that didn’t restrict me (you know…from finishing those last few bites at Chipotle..obvs.. 😉 ) and this pair is definitely the winner! I love the color, too. Super 70s-esque and just all around a solid go-to pair for fall. I scooped up the same pair in black, excited to bust them out with booties once Austin cools off in about a month – ha!
Also I just realized that ACL music fest is just around the corner…time to get in the boho mindset eh eh! 😉 About a month and I’ll be out of the office and on the festival grounds…can’t wait!
