Before I get into the outfit details regarding this cute fall look outfitted by Saint Bernard – I wanted to share that I’ll be hosting a big ‘ol holiday shopping shindig this Thursday October 22, 2015 from 6-8pm at Saint Bernard off 2nd Street in Austin! I would LOVE to see you/meet you if you’re in Austin, so mark your calendar and come have a glass (or two…) of champagne with me as we shop to benefit the American Cancer Society! I ensure a good time, adorable clothes/gift options (trust me, this store is tuhhh die!), cookies and free beverages to suffice those post-work needs. (Hey, I know how that goes!) – not to mention it’s all for a great cause!

‘Tis the season for Austin weather that’s not quite cool enough to layer up for a night out, yet not exactly hot enough to go full shorts-mode either. Thus, say hello to the little black jumpsuit! Perfect for those crisp evenings or pre-holiday events where a cocktail dress appears too dressy and a pair of skinny jeans just won’t make the cut. Also…how cute is this black jumpsuit with pretty lace detailing at the bust?! I am in LOVE!

Ohh the ‘ol work to play outfit…it’s a tough one to nail down! You don’t want to be too formal, yet you want to be presentable in both a work setting and a dinner or drinks environment…so what to do? Slip into some classic black pumps (a definite must-have, these things come in handy more than you can imagine!) and scoot into those black high waist skinny jeans with a striped button up shirt! This top by Leith is breezy and adorable with skirts, jeans, under a jacket…you name it, this thing is caa-ute!

Please forgive me for not having posted throughout this past week – things got pretty crazy with work/life and I had to take a step back from blogging for a few days. I will explain more tomorrow…life update post on the horizon, yay! (All good things, just life is so busy I can’t even think straight at the moment!). However…whether or not I may appear more scatterbrained than ever (lack of sleep will do that to ya…), the one thing I can always count on to make me feel a little less like a crazy person is to dress put together. Aka, I may feel like a zombie, but I definitely don’t look like one (well, at least I don’t think I look like one, ha)…especially if you add oversize sunnies to my outfit…gotta cover those tired eyes! 😉

ACL Festival 2015 – What I Wore

As you know by now if you follow my blog/Instagram, ACL festival was last weekend and I soaked in all the festival goodness I could possibly muster! In addition to making my way to and from the craft beer tent one too many times (hey, ACL comes once a year, gotta make the most of it!), eating food trailer meals to my hearts content (dear Mighty Cone, you are everything) and listening to live music for three days straight….another major component to the fest was the ah-maaaazing fashion seen prancing around the festival grounds. And while Blake would call this whole festival fashion thing high maintenance (and well…yes, so what if it is.. 😉 ), I would most definitely call it tons of fun and awesomeness.

After a very busy weekend enjoying ACL Festival here in town, I’m ready to get back into the swing of things! Hence, a new outfit post this Monday evening. I’ve got a glass of wine to my left, my newest playlist on repeat (currently jamming MisterWives…they were SO good at ACL!) and am onto editing photos for the week. There’s just something about familiarity and routine that I find calming…maybe I’m weird, but this is definitely my happy place! Well, now that I’ve rambled on..! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and made it through Monday just fine…there’s nothing a glass of vino can’t help, right? 😉

Plaid Button Ups (Under $100!)

If there’s anything I love for fall, it’s most definitely a cozy plaid flannel button up! (Psst, all of the ones I listed are under $100 and a few for $20!). Until this year I literally used to wear the SAME plaid button up once a week (y’all I’m not kidding…Blake went and got me a new one because he felt like I over wore this thing, ha!)…and you know what? Even though I now have a few more of these perfect tops hanging in my closet, I STILL will wear that old, tattered one! There’s just something so effortless, comfy and fall-esque about go-to plaid flannel. And yes, okay, so maybe I should alternate to a bi-weekly wear for that oldie but goodie…!

Boho Chic: Black on Black

If there’s one combination that’s both effortless and timeless, it’s black on black. I kept it chic with the shoes, bag and skinny jeans, then added those perfectly boho touches with an off the shoulder, bell sleeve top and my fedora hat. Voila, an outfit I can 100% get down with from day to night!

As ACL festival rolls around, I can feel this city buzzing with anticipation (trust me, it’s getting harder and harder to sit still at my desk!) and girl making their way to local boutiques and shopping centers in search of their best bohemian outfit! …I’m thinking this look is definitely suitable for this time of year!read more
