Distressed jeans & a big ‘ol cozy sweater…what’s not to love?! Did I mention my sweater is now on sale for just $32? Down from $54! Oh, and my jeans are now on sale for $38…and my shoes are 40% off ($89) and these adorable Ray Ban sunnies are also on sale! Now, that’s something to get cheery about. 😉
My sweater is by Cotton Emporium and I am in LOVE with this thing. It’s naturally an oversized fit and I thought this “rose brown” color was just too pretty to pass up. In case you’re concerned with the feel of the knit, I am not a fan of fabrics that are remotely itchy and I can assure you this sweater is only soft and not the least bit itchy. (True story: when I was a kid I had to wear long sleeve shirts under my dance costumes because I hated anything itchy that touched my skin! …Those recital photos are pretty great, not gonna lie, ha!). This sweater comes in three colors, so if you’re more into a cream or neutral palette, definitely check them out (and at that price? umm yes, please!).
Alright guys & gals, it’s officially crunch time when it comes to gift shopping online in time for Christmas! Thus, I’ve scoped out THE cutest little gift ideas (budget friendly under $50 – woo!) for the ladies in your life that are certain to hit your doorstep by Christmas Eve (but you have to scoop them up before Dec. 23rd!). As you all know, Nordstrom is one of my favorite retailers and they have the best customer service around, so doing your last minute gift shopping is a sure bet when ordering from Nords!
Hi there, ladies! Sorry I’ve been MIA from blog-land these past few days…I think after all of the holiday sales/shopping madness recently, I was in desperate need of a strong alcoholic beverage (or two..) and a break from my laptop! Thus, I took the weekend to drink wine and good beer, spend time with my new nephew (so excited to have a brand new baby join the family for Christmas!), grab lunch and get some shopping done with my mama, and deep clean my apartment (…er, well, help Blake deep clean the apartment..he deserves a gold medal for putting up with my stuff dispersed everywhere all the time..thanks Blake if you’re reading this!!). Me oh my, after writing all of that down…I surprisingly feel quite accomplished over these past few days! I am officially one of those people that has to pencil in “relaxation” time…hence indulging in both wine and beer this weekend…and I’m actually pretty proud that I was able to chill out that much!
Hi gals! Today I’m featuring a super fun and easy gift idea – monogram & initial picks! I love how gifting anything involving the letter of their first or last name just seems to make the gift seem more personal…not to mention all of these items couldn’t be any cuter!
As we near winter (next week!) and start thinking about lounging around the house during the holiday break, there’s one thing that comes to mind: getting cozy! ‘Tis the season to cuddle up on the couch and watch Love Actually or The Holiday or Sleepless in Seattle…okay okay, you get it…I like romantic comedies! 😉 Needless to say, you can never go wrong giving the gift of comfort – and each of these items above just screams “let’s get cozy!” ..And I’m all about that!
If there’s one person who deserves to be treated to an extra special gift this holiday season, it’s most definitely the moms in our lives! Not only is my mom my confidant, number one fan and rock in life, she’s also super-grandma to six grandbabies, super-mom to five kids (who all still call her daily!), the best holiday host around and the most selfless and giving person I know! I’d say if anyone deserves some serious spoiling this Christmas, it’s 100% her! My mom’s name is Kim, hence the “K” monogram tote above. 😉
Hi gals! First off, it’s finally getting a tad colder in Austin – it’s a Christmas miracle! Second, this means one thing that I loooove when it comes to styling an outfit…layering up and accessorizing accordingly! So what does that mean exactly? Vests over dresses, sparkly jewelry (which I especially love around the holidays) and a pretty new iPhone 6 case by STIL to match! I’m a sucker for fashionable tech, and this case definitely fits my simple style perfectly.
Hello, cutest little red dress I ever did see! Complete with a sweetheart neckline and off the shoulder details (are those not precious?), I’d say this dress just about takes the cake when it comes to an adorable holiday party pick!
This is actually the exact outfit I wore to my work Christmas party last Saturday evening and it was a huge hit! Blake and I had just finished shooting a blog post for Style Me Pretty while at Villa Del Lago in Austin (umm, is this place not stunning?!), and we were short on time so I quickly changed into this look before we jetted to the party.
