Comfy meets classic with a pop of color for this outfit! Over the weekend I met one of my best friends for a coffee sesh on South Congress (if you follow me on Snapchat, you probably know Veronica by now!). She was spending the weekend at the new South Congress Hotel, so I went to scope it out (umm, it’s GORG…like, the most beautiful industrially designed bachelor pad in hotel form – ha! So so pretty and lovely). So, after melting over the beauty of her hotel room, we strolled over to the Tom’s bungalow for some coffee and a little window shopping (it’s an actual miracle that I didn’t buy anything…the shoes…sunglasses…definitely tested my self control). We decided to snap some photos en route to the coffeehouse…thus – this outfit is the perfect “weekend stroll” look…which is basically how I dress no matter the occasion..y’all know me, all about casual + cute looks over here!

Nordstrom Sale: Coats On MAJOR Sale!

Y’all…SO many gorgeous coats are now on sale for well under $200! (Which is already a steal for a gorgeous, ultra warm coat). I kept seeing all the beautiful winter jackets and coats marked down a ton while perusing through Nordstrom.com and realized these savings are too good to keep to myself. I am LOVING the pretty necklines that are trending right now, they’re so timeless and chic, not to mention would look so great with a big ‘ol cozy blanket scarf, too.

Green Trench Coat & Tan Loafers

Hello there! It feels like it’s been a while since I last sat down and put together an outfit post (a whopping 4 days, ha). I’m currently sitting on my sofa with a bottle of wine staring at me from the kitchen…I told myself I’d go exercise before I popped it open! I’ve been feeling really diligent about my workout routine and hope to keep it up. Not only do I have a lot more energy now thanks to working out, but I just feel a lot better about myself in general…funny how that happens…a simple change and voila, an itty bitty confidence boost…sometimes I think the confidence thing is more of an incentive than anything else to keep on truckin’ when it comes to exercising.

Utility Vest & Stripes

For starters, y’all know I love a good striped shirt (…pretty sure my Instagram is 50/50 stripes and cozy sweaters right now…ha!) and this Caslon striped tee for just $25 is a definite in my winter weather wardrobe. I have it in two colors (well…two striped variations, see my other one here) and I love how soft and comfy this top is. It comes in a TON of color options, and if you’re more on the neutral side and like to keep a classic black or white long sleeve on hand during these colder months, I highly recommend this one. I’m wearing a size small and it fits great!

Get Motivated! Fashionable Workout Clothes

Hi gals! Me oh my a workout post already?! True story: I’ve gone running AND did conditioning exercises for THREE days in a row now…feeling really good about this whole New Year’s resolution to be more active thing…sans the amount of soreness I feel right now… (literally could barely get out of bed this morning..it’s a good sore though, you know?). Anyhoo! I decided to put together some fun ideas of suuuper cute workout clothes (seriously, are these not adorable?!) because as we all know, there’s nothing like rocking gorgeous new workout pants and a ridiculously precious strappy back sports bra to get you in the mood to get your booty off the sofa and into the gym. …Or at the very least you can look really cool as you hit up Starbucks and run some errands on the weekend, right? 😉 Yep…that’s half of Austin for ya, ha!

You can never go wrong investing in high quality neutral pieces – and this BB Dakota jacket is a chic, timeless classic that looks gorgeous over a dress, sweater, or even a tee shirt with a cozy scarf like I’m wearing above. The Perfect Faux Leather Jacket

Hello there ladies! I hope you’ve all had a fabulous holiday break and were able to soak in some quality time with your loved ones! I certainly made the most of a few days off work (and even took a break from blog-land) to enjoy some friends who came into town over the holiday break. Most of my best friends live in Chicago and New York but are from Austin, too (these are the folks I’ve known for over 10 years and grew up with), and I got so spoiled over the past two weeks because one after the other they all came into town to visit their families – which meant I got to see everyone, too. It was so nice to hang out and take them around Austin (this city has transformed in the past few years…so half the places we went weren’t there even a year ago) and have drinks and just catch up. If you follow me on Snapchat [username: livvylandblog], then you definitely got to see what we were up to most of the time! (…One night involved lots of wine and trying to fit a “Waist Shaper” on my GBF, Ben….needless to say, it was amazing and hilarious and y’all…we got it to fit, ha!).
