Galpal Coffee Date

If there’s one thing I love about the holidays, it’s that I get to spend more time with my out-of-town friends! It has sort of become one of those unexpected holiday traditions I look forward to each year. (When you’re younger, you don’t exactly look ahead and think half of your friend crew will move away one day!). Thus, this particular time of year is dear to my heart given that we get to spend some quality time together! One of my very best friends, Lauren of Vandi Fair, came into town last week with our fellow galpal and photographer, Angie, so we all met for a coffee & pastry date at the darling Elizabeth Street Cafe. I’d been dying to go here for quite some time, and after picking out some cozy sweaters in the prettiest pink hues from Express, we knew a powder pink and teal coffeehouse was the perfect spot for a catchup sesh…and of course some photo opps while we were at it! 😉

Every season there seems to be that one pair of shoes I reach for above the rest…and let’s just say when I bought these Treasure & Bond ankle booties during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale back in July, I had no idea juuuust how much I’d wear them in the fall! If you follow me on Instagram (@livvylandblog), you’ve probably seen me rock these fabulous suede booties a TON (ps. wearing the sand suede color!)…thus, you know just how versatile they can be! Happy Saturday, ladies! I hope you had a wonderful week and have something fun planned this weekend – whether that be meeting friends for coffee or relaxing at home, I hope you get to enjoy it! I’m excited to have dinner with a girlfriend tonight and tomorrow will be spending the day with my family (my nephew is turning one next week, ah! Where did the time go?!). Before the holiday madness begins, I’m doing my best to disconnect and be present with those around me. Come Black Friday y’all know I’ll be glued to my computer scoping out those holiday shopping deals, ha!

Until then, it’s fun to throw on a cozy, cute outfit and spend some time with old friends! As y’all know, I make sure whatever I’m wearing is comfortable when it comes to getting dressed everyday. It’s important for me to stick to the trends (that’s the fun part – hello slouchy sweater & those cute moccasins!), but I always keep comfort in the forefront of my mind. Perhaps it’s because I came from corporate life where I used to sit at a desk all day… and actually, I guess I’ve continued to do just that at my apartment or a coffeehouse even now, ha! That said, reaching for shoes that are super comfortable and ridiculously adorable is a definite DO for me! (…And should be for you, too! 😉 )

I don’t know about y’all, but I am a serious sucker for everything blush pink! Big fan of this trend – it’s just the perfect, feminine color!
