Effortlessly cool and comfortable, these high tops add such a playful pep to your step! I am usually someone who reaches for mules or my Vans (you probably know the ones, been wearing them since my pregnancy with Jude!) but now that life is sort of resuming as normal and leaving the house is a daily occurrence, having fun getting dressed is something I very much look forward to again. These are the Sidewalk High-Top Sneakers from Madewell and they also come in a handful of fun print and color options here!read more
This might be one of my favorite outfits of all time! It’s cozy, classy and so incredibly comfortable. This cardigan is amazing worn over a skirt or dress, and also looks beautiful front-tucked into high rise jeans with booties (what I wore for Thanksgiving). The floral print and silhouette of this skirt is feminine and versatile – it could easily be worn with a tank top and cute sandals in the summer. Also, it was sold out forever and I now it has loads of sizes, so definitely scoop up asap before it’s gone!
My mission to add classic black pieces to my wardrobe is on the up and up…specifically a pair of gorgeous booties and the most beautiful, timeless black handbag. I’ve seen some of my favorite fashionistas wear Senreve bags for years and finally decided I would step outside my tan-accessories-always comfort zone with the Mini Maestra in mimosa onyx. It’s chic, the perfect size (it holds so much!) and extremely versatile. You can wear it as a crossbody, shoulder strap, backpack or on your forearm. Plus, it’s customizable – pick the texture (pebbled, croc, etc.), color and hardware. I’m truly in love with this bag, it’s a handbag I will have forever! read more

S-A-L-E news! Madewell is running their Secret Stock Sale (up to 60% off!) and my top, shorts and sandals are all included…plus TONS more amazing finds! Going to keep this post short and sweet today…Jude has an ear infection and is taking a morning nap, so quickly sharing these outfit details before he’s up and ready for more mama snuggles. Hope y’all have a great weekend! Sharing more sale favorites below.
First off, HELLO! I feel like I probably don’t need an explanation for my blog sharing absence – but in case you’re new here, I have two young kiddos (2.5 y/o and 10 months old)…aaand that pretty much sums it up! 😉 (Who knew raising children takes ALL your time?! Ha!). However, GOSH it feels good to sit down and share an outfit post again. To even WEAR an outfit (and makeup!) these days is a major deal in my world. Between keeping two little humans alive and thriving, and also scouring the internet for home renovation supplies (we are adding a primary bathroom, having our bedroom ceilings vaulted + adding skylights, totally redoing our kitchen + updating the boys bathroom), any ounce of extra free time has been devoted to sourcing materials as we gear up for phase two of our 1970s house flip in August. However, I have missed my little corner of the internet SO much…and I’m excited to start sharing content regularly on here again – YAY! My friend and wonderful Austin photographer, Brandon Hill, has kindly agreed to meet bi-weekly for shoots. So, prepare for more outfit inspo + renovation posts headed your way! And also, some mama me-time, hooray!
…Starting with this very “Olivia” casual, jeans + tee look. 😉
Last week was below freezing temperatures, this week is 70s and sunny. Austin, you always keep us guessing! I’ll admit, hiding inside for a week straight was definitely not good for my brain…I felt so yucky mentally and physically. When we finally got a day of sunshine, I knew I needed to take full advantage…and it felt SO good.
Holiday shopping is in FULL swing and if you’re like me and have a to-do list a mile long on top of crossing everyone off your list…well then, I have some very exciting news for you! With a Walmart+ membership, you can receive free delivery from your local store on orders $35+ (restrictions apply) AND Walmart+ free shipping, no order minimum (excludes oversized/freight & Marketplace items) with free next-day and two-day shipping (and more, but I’ll get to that shortly!). With an infant and a toddler, this is MAJOR given that my free time is nonexistent and attempting a store run with both in tow is asking for a meltdown in the car (me, not them, ha!). Here’s how Walmart+ is making my life (and yours!) so much easier…
With the holidays in full swing, making time for myself has been very…tricky…to say the least! Blake and I juggle kiddos and work and house projects…the list goes on and on. When I’m feeling the weight of my responsibilities and the overwhelm of life starts hitting too hard, that’s when I know I need to get outside and hit the reset button. Just a simple walk around the block can work wonders, but this week I had Blake watch the boys so I could get a couple hours to myself and go hike around the Austin greenbelt with my sister. It was so beautiful out and I came back home feeling energized, happy and ready to tackle my day ahead (…the coffee run on our way home helped, too, ha!). I know firsthand it can feel intimidating when winter weather is right outside your door – but with the proper gear to keep you warm and comfortable, that mid-week hike may just become routine. 😉
Life with an infant and toddler means staying home a LOT. Like, pretty much 24/7. Jude is active from six in the morning until 8pm (not even joking, he is a wild man, ha!), so we spend loads of time in our backyard! Honestly, what sold us on our new house was the backyard…we knew we’d want to have space for the boys to run around, play and get all their energy out. It was the best decision we’ve ever made…we basically live back here from sunrise to sunset! And like most folks in the time of Covid, spending more time at home has simply been a must. As the weather changes and temperatures drop, I’m reaching for cozy layers and weather-proof shoes to keep me warm – and to keep up with my lil man as I chase him all over the yard!
Our little dude is on the MOVE! Not sure Jude has it in him to stop for a photo anymore, ha! We love watching him grow and feel out his coordination…it’s amazing how quickly he went from walking to climbing to running…and we are all for him getting those wiggles out. Now that Ezra has joined the fam, our morning wakeup call is around 6:30am. While at first it was a struggle (more coffee, please!), now we make a point to seize the day and take advantage of getting out while the rest of the city is still waking up. Zilker Park is usually packed with dogs, workout groups and people in general…so getting there before the rest of the city has its perks, like a good parking spot and the lawn all to ourselves! read more
