Capturing The Adventure

It’s that time again…we’ve got the itch to go somewhere and explore! In a few weeks, Blake and I are headed on a two week cruise through the British Isles…Ireland, Scotland, England…we’re ready to escape the Texas heat! I’ll share more on that trip soon…but in the meantime we’re looking forward to photographing and sharing all the details, big and small.

Blake and I have been so fortunate to have traveled near and far these past few years, and capturing our adventures is something I LOVE to do. Not only is photography a passion of mine, but I love to print our photos and reminisce about the memories in those 2 x 3″ frames…I feel pangs of nostalgia as I look at each of these prints and I’m immediately transported back in time. What we did that day, whether it was hot or cold out, the smell of the cuisine in each country. Ohh the power of a photo – it truly is something so special. Which is why I am thrilled to partner with HP and share why I’m loving the new Sprocket 2-in-1 portable photo printer. If you’re one for adventure or simply love taking photos (…which is most anyone with a smartphone these days, ha!), then you’re going to LOVE this pretty little thing!

Though this post is spotlighting some of my favorite travel images, I have another pile filled with images of friends, family, Watson and our life in Austin. Simply by downloading the Sprocket App, you can print out any photos from your smartphone or tablet within seconds. I don’t know about y’all, but I am SO bad about organizing my personal images and sending them off to be printed (not joking when I tell you we still have zero wedding prints in our house…two years later…haha ah!). That said, having the Sprocket sitting on our kitchen countertop (or packed in my purse if we’re headed on a trip) makes it a breeze to pull up a bar stool, pour myself a cup of coffee and get to printing out some of our favorite memories to hang around the house – all within minutes. It’s instant gratification (and convenience) at its finest! Not to mention the Sprocket is actually super adorable – it comes in a few color options (red, black, gold) but the white + rose gold was speakin’ my style language.

What’s also really cool about the HP Sprocket is that you can print on adhesive paper (in other words, print a “sticker”) and you can stick that onto a magnet…aaand just like that, your fridge is ready to display aaaall the new memories! I love that photos tell stories and are such wonderful conversation starters when we have guests over. I love hearing about other peoples travels and I love exchanging the details of ours, as well.
