Stripes & Sneakers

Happy Monday, ladies! How was your weekend? Blake and I celebrated our one year anniversary with a stay-cation at a hotel here in town…it was fun to get away yet be 10 minutes from home! We indulged in drinking a little too much wine and I was asleep by 10pm, ha! Seriously…I am SUCH a granny these days. All good, I was deep in a food and wine coma…sign of a good evening in my opinion haha.
In other news, I’ve been doing my best to add more black to my wardrobe (a struggle I’ve mentioned before!). For one, it’s always a chic go-to and two, it’s timeless! Once you invest in a nice black jacket once, you’re pretty much golden for years to come. A classic striped tee? You can wear a million different ways. A sleek black handbag? An easy go-to from day to night. Anyways, you get where I’m going! It’s fun to mix in trendy pieces here and there – like some distressed ankle denim (LOVE these, one of my favorite brands ever!) and platform sneakers. Okay okay, so yes they’re definitely a little bit “Baby Spice” buuut they’re AWESOME (and surprisingly very comfortable!).

Psst…though I looove the jacket I’m wearing in this post (it’s “vegan leather” and budget friendly!) this new leather jacket arrived in the mail today (you may have seen me post it on my Instagram Story) and OMG my heart is maaaajorly swooning over it! Just wanted to share another (more investment-ish) option with y’all, too…can’t wait to style it very soon. 🙂
