So long, 2016! What a year it was! Blake and I got married (ohh the love!), I traveled to 8 countries (bliss!), worked so hard I cried (a lot!), and we finally started turning our little apartment into a home (yay #adulting!). 2016 was one for the books and while it will always hold a very special place in my heart, I am excited for fresh beginnings and new goals as we dance our way into 2017…because come midnight, this granny (yes, admittedly I can’t “hang” like I used to, ha), will certainly be feeling toasty from champagne and happiness as we ring in the new year with our closest friends. (…And probably Beyonce if we get to make some DJ requests.. 😉 ). Bring on the bubbly and perhaps a mannequin challenge!
Anyone else have an obsession with Etsy for those unique home decor finds? Hi, that’s me! It’s always my go-to when I’m searching for something a little out of the ordinary to decorate our space or add a unique touch. I love that it’s a wonderful site where artisans from all over the world can sell their products under one roof…not to mention, supporting small shops is always a do in my book! As Blake and I save for a house this year, we’re locked into a 14-month lease at our current apartment, thus, making this little one bedroom abode feel like a home has been a top priority for us over the last few months. It definitely helped that we got married three months ago and wedding gifts jump started our home decor hunt… I realized I finally felt like an adult when I was more excited about new pots and pans arriving on our doorstep than a pair of shoes – ha!

Hello loves! I hope you’re having a wonderful and relaxing week!! I took some time off from blogging/Instagram over the past few days to really soak in time with my family and friends from out-of-town…it was bliss! Finally feeling back to my normal (happy, less overwhelmed) self – thinking I should start scheduling “Olivia get off your laptop and go outside” or “Olivia get off your phone and read a book” breaks more often, ha! …Definitely a healthy thought for 2017. 😉
As you know, after Christmas has come and gone, it’s time for MAJOR sales! Now’s the time to use those gift cards and scoop up those cozy sweaters you’ve been eying…or perhaps order a pair of fabulous statement earrings for New Years Eve. (…With Nordstrom’s shipping windows, you can totally get those gorgeous pink tassel baubles in time for NYE, yaaaay!).

Hello there! I am SO excited about todays post because I’m sharing our first ever (married couple) Christmas cards with y’all! I am such a sap for all things couple-y and festive, so when I had the chance to partner with Minted and create a fun holiday card of our own, I definitely jumped at the opportunity! Rather than get serious for our cards (…we don’t have a pup or kiddos right now, so it felt a little weird for us to stand and smile at the camera…), we decided to get extra dorky and awkward (obviously, right? 😉 ) and wear matching sweaters and rock a funny pose and facial expressions. It just felt more “us” to be a little goofy! Not going to lie, even though they’re silly, I am absolutely in LOVE with the cards! (…and the fella who agreed to wear a matching sweater with me, ha! 😉 ).
A big thank you to Minted for sponsoring this post! All opinions are my own.
I’ve been doing my best to add more “chic” touches to my everyday wardrobe picks (…a follower on Instagram even noticed and gave me a thumbs up on this – yayyy!). I am so used to immediately reaching for casual pieces, but once in a while it’s fun to get a little more dolled up! …Even if that means something as simple as swapping my ankle booties for a pair of gorgeous burgundy suede pumps!

Happy weekend, friends! I hope your week finished strong and you’ve got some relaxing weekend plans ahead – or perhaps some fun holiday shopping on the agenda! Blake and I have a few folks left on our gift list, looking forward to scooping up those final items this weekend. Always feels nice to complete that list each year! There are so many kiddos in my family (we are “Auntie O & Uncle B” to an 11-year-old, four toddlers, a one-year-old and one on the way in February…all on my side of the fam!), thus, I am wracking my brain for all things Trolls or Moana at the moment to ensure #1 gift award! 😉
Aside from all my sweet angels to shop for, there are a couple ladies in the fam to check off our list! Cozy sweaters & ankle booties are pretty much a foolproof gift idea, not to mention a closet staple of my own! I’m excited to partner with Nordstrom today and give y’all the full scoop on this casual, quintessential fall look!

Hello there, friends – I’m going to switch things up today and get a little personal with y’all! I don’t know about you…but this month has been overwhelmingly busy in my world. So busy, in fact, that I have had a couple of cry-fests (…that’s what I like to call it when I sob for about 10 minutes straight, ha! Call me crazy…but it’s simply my form of coping when life throws too many things my way), just as a healthy need to release my pent up stress and anxiety to “do it all.” The thing is, I am one of those people who believes I can always be doing more – pleasing more people, achieving higher goals, bumping out more content…you name it, I’ve added it to my plate (…and by the way, this is me admitting that whole, “I do it to myself” thing…!). And while yes, setting goals to work towards is awesome, killing yourself in the process is simply not okay. I feel like each month is a learning experience for me in navigating just how much I can handle in both my work and personal life – especially since oftentimes my personal life is integrated into my work…which is where the necessity of finding balance comes into play.
