Bell Sleeves & Lace Up Heels
Well, hello there! It’s been about a week since my last post and I must say, I’m feeling so refreshed and happy and relaxed…and basically this whole honeymoon thing is pretty darn wonderful! Blake and I have two days left in Greece, then we’re headed back home! We both hit “lobster status” yesterday after failing to load up on sunscreen during a catamaran tour (ah!), so today we’re spending some time indoors sipping greek coffee and hiding from the sun…ha! I must admit, it feels pretty lovely to sit down and work on a new blog post…getting the best of both worlds here as I write this post in our cozy room with the the cliffs of Santorini in full view from our open balcony doors…absolutely zero complaints here!
Though I’m still in summer-mode in Greece (currently dressed in a crop top & denim shorts!), I hear it’s finally fall back home…so onto fall fashion, it is! A few fall trends I am super excited about are bell sleeves and of course, lace up heels. Hello loves! Sorry for being MIA these past few days – it’s been a crazy week in my world! We are two days away from the big day and I could not be more excited!! I’ve been running around town like a mad woman picking up last minute things (we scooped up our wedding bands (the rings)…they’re so beautiful!) and getting in a few appointments (laser hair removal FTW, wahoo! …But more on that later, ha! 😉 ). My bridesmaids (and bridesman) that live out of town have slowly started making their way to Austin and it’s been SO wonderful have them here…I miss them all so much, so this weekend is truly a treat to have everyone together for a few days celebrating! …I am certain there will be a LOT of tears (we are a veeeery emotional bunch, ha) and a ton of laughs – literally my friends are ridiculous and super silly… Can’t wait to soak it all in!

Hello there! How’s your week going? I’ve been truckin’ right along – anyone else ready for Friday yet? Ha! After a few final wedding meetings and 5 hours at a coffeehouse in an attempt to decrease my email inbox number, I am very ready for a strong beverage! The good news: Pam, the mother of one of my best friends, makes a killer martini (true story: we refer to her as “the martini lady” because it’s kind of her thing haha!) and I’m headed over to her abode for a cocktail and a catchup sesh right after I hit publish on this post. It’s so fun being friends with my friends’ parents… always a good time and the best conversation! Definitely one of those days where I need to shut my laptop and enjoy some real human interaction! (Haha, ah!).

Happy long weekend, gals! Also…say whaaaaat we are TWO weeks away from the wedding, “I literally can’t even” is a real phrase running through my mind…ha! Hold that thought while I go chug some coffee in the corner here…haha ah! All good…right about now is when it’s necessary to throw on a super cute top & pair of jeans and grab a glass of wine (or just hand me the bottle, really..) and let all my stresses go for a couple of hours. Sounds pretty darn wonderful if you ask me! 😉 And hey, the Friday of a 3-day-weekend should not be spent feeling bogged down or stressed out. (…Yep, totally just going to keep telling myself that! 😉 ).
