Coffee Date In Express Denim

Hey ladies! How’s your week going? Mine has been pretty good! I’ve been waking up early and staying on top of my to-do list…and keeping the apartment clean (an actual miracle if you know me..!)…feeling pretty good about life right now! It’s amazing what a clean house/uncluttered workspace can do – going to try my best to keep this up!

In other {good} news, I did a little denim shopping at Express last weekend and got to bust out these gorgeous jeans for a coffee date with Blake a few days ago. Coffee + good jeans + Blake = best date ever! 😉 In the midst of running around Austin to check off last minute wedding to-do’s, it felt pretty good grab an iced coffee and enjoy a “day date” together – it was so nice to slow down for a bit!

If there’s one thing I can never have enough of in my wardrobe, it’s jeans! And when they’re on sale (true story: I did a happy dance when the sales associate rang these pretties up at 40% off!!), well…ya might as well grab another pair, ha! 😉 Another true story: tomorrow’s post features the second pair of fabulous Express jeans I scooped up…because at these prices you really can’t feel guilty about a “2 for 1” purchase. I am LOVING the frayed ankle trend right now, and this pair of jeans seriously NAILS it! I love the edgy, casual vibe of distressed denim, too – and this pair has it all. The waistline sits high, so these jeans are also adorable with a tee tucked in and belted at the waist. I’ll have to recreate that look for another post!

Also…who else instantly feels amazing when they put on a pair of very flattering jeans? Mhmm, that’s me! I am all for feeling great and exuding confidence, and I absolutely believe that when you wear an outfit you feel good in, your day is better and brighter! It’s nice to wear an outfit that speaks to your personality, it makes you feel comfortable and confident. A good pair of jeans definitely seems to have that magic power for me!

Have y’all been to Express lately? I used to shop there ALL the time in high school and often strolled through when I needed an interview outfit during my job hunting days after college, but now I love to pop in for trendy, effortlessly cool pieces to wear day or night. Not only do they have an amazing selection of denim (to fit all body types!) they have THE cutest casual tops (lots of loose chambray or lace-up tops…you’ll see my favorite in tomorrow’s post) and jackets – like this bomber jacket I’ve got tied around my waist. I tend to keep jackets in my car if I’m headed to a coffeehouse or will be indoors somewhere, and this adorable bomber goes with everything! Ps. You can see how this bomber jacket fits in this post from a couple months back – so cute! I love the “cool” vibe tying the jacket around my waist gives off, it’s something so simple that totally adds to my look!
