Hey there gals! How was your weekend? Blake and I were busy bees traveling home from Orlando the majority of the day yesterday and spent today playing catchup on laundry, dishes…ya know, all that fun stuff you get to escape when you’re on vacation! 😉 Needless to say, it’s back to reality for us! We had the best few days on our “theme park getaway” …which consisted of visiting the 4 main Disney World parks and then Universal Studios…sooo…basically we just acted like two big kids for the past week, and it was awesome! Mostly it’s just that I like to spend quality time with Blake, so it really doesn’t matter what we’re doing…so long as we’re not glued to our laptops or separately stressed out and running errands around town for work (y’all know me, I get stressed so easily!). I always feel like we come back from trips so much closer and more connected – it’s the best!!
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is officially here! Today through July 22nd, only Nordstrom cardholders can shop the pre-sale (…and y’all, you’re going to want to shop early…this sale is AMAZING!). Every year, Nordstrom hosts their Anniversary Sale where they have a killer sale on NEW fall products! I’m talking up to 50% on amazing finds like sweaters, jackets, boots, makeup and a TON more! After the sale, items go back up to full price and stay there… so it’s time to scoop up your fall fashion items + gifts to last throughout the year! (…I love stocking up on candles and accessories to give as gifts, you seriously can’t beat these prices for such pretty and nice pieces!).
**Scroll over the images above and click to shop!
The sale can be a little overwhelming, so I woke up briiiiight and early to scope out my favorites and the best deals for you to shop!! Ps. I know it’s 100 degrees in Texas at the moment, but think ahead to fall weather and stock up on those perfect layerables and accessories to keep you cute, cozy and warm! Shop more from the sale here!
If you’ve been thinking of splurging on a new pair of OTK boots, a designer handbag or sunglasses, or a leather jacket – I highly recommend investing during this sale! I treated myself to a a new handbag (love this pretty wine color & can’t beat the price!) and a real leather jacket… Blake and I are tentatively thinking of visiting Paris for our honeymoon, so I’ll need a quality jacket while we’re there! …Not to mention I’ve been eying a real leather jacket for nearly a year now…how gorgeous is this one?! Can’t wait for it to arrive in the mail!
One last thing! Items during this sale pretty much go like hot cakes, so I recommend ordering a couple size options if you’re unsure of the fit and then returning the ones that don’t work out. You can return items to Nordstrom at any time, so this way you know you can get the exact pieces you want and not have to wish you’d ordered a different size from the start! (…Can you tell all my online shopping experience is paying off? 😉 Ha!).
Hey gals! I am super excited to share some behind-the-scenes photos from my stay-cation at W Austin Hotel with one of my best friends, Lauren of Vandi Fair! LV (that’s what I call her) drove in from Dallas this weekend so we could enjoy a little r&r and galpal time with a two-night stay at the W – and it was so wonderful! We try our best to see each other often, so this was such a fun way to hang out, catch up and basically feel like we were on a mini vacation without having to hop on a plane. From the pool to the restaurant (…it is tuhh die! They basically had to roll us out of there, ha!), to being right in the midst of Austin’s popular 2nd Street District, there was plenty to do and enjoy during our “stay-cay” getaway.
Hey gals, how’s your week going? I have been in busy-bee mode and am currently leaving one trip (well, “stay-cation”) and am about to go through my closet and pack for another…I am headed to Disney World with Blake for 3 days, wahoo!!! He’s been at a molecular diagnostics conference all week, so I am dying to see him and enjoy some time at the happiest place on earth! 😉 But before I go, I wanted to share this adorable casual outfit featuring the cutest lace-front embroidered top & platform wedges combo. (Seriously, I am OBSESSED with these shoes!!).
Happy weekend, ladies! I am SO EXCITED to finally share the Italy portion of our Princess Cruise through the Mediterranean coast! These pictures never fail to make me swoon (…and also never fail to make me thoroughly depressed because I miss this trip so much, ha!). We spent our first day in Italy visiting Portofino (which as you can see is the definition of magical) and the second day we ventured to Cinque Terre…and did not quite encounter the stunning cliffside views I had imagined because we got caught in a caa-razy torrential downpour that ended up being a TON of fun with an incredible group of people…but more on that further into this post! 😉
Ps. If you’re on the hunt for a vacation that exceeds all of your wildest Pinterest level expectations, you muuuust go to Italy! It truly was heaven on earth!
Hello there! Hope your week is going well! As we slowly but surely make our way to the weekend (aren’t 4-day weeks the best?), I am super excited to partner with Nordstrom and share a date night look…and y’all, it’s a miracle because Blake is actually making an appearance on my blog without it having to be an “engagement shoot” or similar type of “big day” post..wahoo! Doesn’t he look sharp? I think so, too! 😉
Do you remember your first date? Just thinking of mine gives me the jitters and makes my stomach a little queasy…ha! Such a strange mix of anticipation, awkwardness and a fun kind of “newness.” I remember mine from start to finish – from the moment he picked me up from theater rehearsal (I was prepping for our high school production of Chicago – so he had to pick me up on campus) to when we got out of the car and shared our first kiss before he walked me to the door.
It’s funny to think that my first and last kiss will be with Blake. Yep – Blake was my very first date and very first kiss! (Well, “real” kiss – I’d kissed boys for roles in plays, but not with someone I liked like that). He was 16 and I was 17 (proud late bloomer over here, ha!).
((^^That’s one of my favorite photos of us when we were teenagers…We look SO young!))
Hey gals, how was your holiday weekend? Though I am reluctantly getting back into the ‘ol workweek groove, I’m feeling refreshed and well rested after the long weekend! Blake and I spent most of it of getting in some quality exercise by swimming, running and staying outdoors the majority of the weekend…and it was exactly what I needed! Felt so nice to step away from my laptop and soak in some r&r with nature! Hope y’all had a fabulous 4th of July, too!
I’m excited to finally share a full-on blog post featuring this adorable tassel trim sweater top (it was a huge hit on my Instagram feed, so I wanted to be sure and blog about it, too!) and my go-to cutoff shorts that are a summer staple AND are currently on sale right now…win/win my friends!
