Tassel Trim Summer Sweater

Hey gals, how was your holiday weekend? Though I am reluctantly getting back into the ‘ol workweek groove, I’m feeling refreshed and well rested after the long weekend! Blake and I spent most of it of getting in some quality exercise by swimming, running and staying outdoors the majority of the weekend…and it was exactly what I needed! Felt so nice to step away from my laptop and soak in some r&r with nature! Hope y’all had a fabulous 4th of July, too!

I’m excited to finally share a full-on blog post featuring this adorable tassel trim sweater top (it was a huge hit on my Instagram feed, so I wanted to be sure and blog about it, too!) and my go-to cutoff shorts that are a summer staple AND are currently on sale right now…win/win my friends!

This precious sweater was one of my favorite pieces I brought on our Mediterranean cruise and even though it’s pretty darn hot in Austin these days, the material is so light weight it doesn’t really feel like you’re wearing an actual sweater in the midst of a Texas summer. When I saw this Madewell top online, I immediately had to add it to my shopping cart once I noticed the adorable tassel trim detailing, I am obsessed!! The fit is super relaxed and the material is ultra-soft. It’s one of those staple tops that can take you from season to season. I’m wearing a size XS for reference.

These cutoffs by Free People are on super sale for 40% off and I am SO obsessed!! I’ve been wearing these non-stop and at their current price, they’re a total steal!! They’re also available in white and black, I’m wearing one size up than my usual short size because this particular style runs small – so definitely order one size up!

My shoes are by Rebecca Minkoff and they’re also on sale right now (wahoo 50% off!). I’ve worn these pretties a TON already, they are super cute with shorts, dresses, jeans…you name it, these platform espadrille flats are tuhh-die! I should also mention that they’re crazy comfortable.. I got them for SXSW Festival a few months back and without even breaking them in decided to wear them for an entire day roaming around Austin, and they didn’t rub at all! I seriously love these shoes and get compliments on them every time I wear them around town – highly recommend if you’re on the hunt for a go-to pair of comfy espadrilles.

Lastly, that gorgeous patchwork handbag…it is SO CUTE I am obsessed!! I love a good leather handbag and this one in particular caught my attention because of the patchwork detailing and variation of cognac and brown leather hues on the bag. That alone had me sold because it’s so versatile and can match with a variety of brown/cognac shoe options – ha! Not to mention Patricia Nash is one of my favorite handbag designers – I always love how beautiful the leather and overall quality of the bags are, along with the unique earthy, boho look to her handbag collections.
