Crochet White Summer Dress

Hey there! I don’t know about y’all, but I’m pretty darn excited for this holiday weekend – that whole 3-days-off thing has come at a great time because this week was crazy busy! Very ready to slow down and recover from it…and enjoy some r&r time with Blake and my family! As mentioned, this week was madness…true story: I had a cryfest from stress that ended with half a bottle of wine and a soak in the tub more than once this week haha! I’m a mess, I know…constantly working on my “zen” … Hey, we all have our good and bad days – I guess this week was not in my favor..! Hopefully that means next week will be amaaaazing and a breeze, right? 😉 . But hey, I had a couple of highs mixed into my lows, and one of them was meeting up with my friend and old co-worker Kathryn (she runs Kathryn Frazer Photography) to snap some photos and catch up over coffee. It was SO wonderful to see her and talk about literally everything – she definitely had me laughing and distracted from my never ending to-do list!

Before we sat down for coffee, we did a quick little shoot in this suuuper perfect white flowy dress by Free People. Seriously, how adorable is this dress with the wrap-up sandals? Gah, I am in LOVE!

^^How precious is the back?! I wore a nude bandeau top over my bra (not a fan of visible bra straps!) so you can see that peeking through the back. The front of the dress is actually double lined, but the back allows for exposed skin. Such a gorgeous detail!
I know I talk about my love for cognac accessories quite frequently – but it’s because this color goes with EVERYTHING! And the best part is that you can mix and match different styles because they’re all the same color – so I can keep my lace-up heels on but swap the bag for a clutch, etc. – I think it’s the best color investment! 🙂 I have been trying to warm up to more black accessories, but I really feel more myself in cognac…so, cognac it is! 😉

Speaking of, my gorgeous handbag (that traveled all the way to Europe and Costa Rica with me a few weeks back) is now back in stock and truly, the most durable and beautiful quality bag! It’s actually quite spacious and fits not only my essentials, but my big blog camera, too – so it’s the bag I wear around town the most because it fits everything I need (without being a tote bag!). Love it so much and have already gotten a TON of wear out of it. (Ps. It’s 110% worth the price tag, this thing is incredible!).

My shoes are new and I can’t get enough of them (…if you follow my Instagram, you’ll have likely see them pop up in nearly every photo since they came in the mail last week, ha). They’re by Steve Madden and just $79!! Which is a total steal because other brands carrying shoes that look identical run well over $100 – so I had to scoop these babies up. I also love that the heel height is more modest and classy, yet the wrap up ankle makes them playful and kinda sexy, too. Thus, they’re pretty much perfect is really what I’m trying to say here. 😉

My necklace is by Kendra Scott and I have this same style in 3 different stone colors – it’s my favorite necklace they carry! Love the tassel and the pop of color for summer, I think it’s a great piece to wear with a v-neck and jeans or a solid color dress like this one. Lastly, my Ray-Ban reflective sunnies – I’ve had these for over a year now and wear them all the time… there’s something about the reflective lenses for summer, it just seems so fitting and brings out that “effortlessly cool” vibe.
