One Tee, Three Ways with Kate Spade New York

Hi ladies! Eek, I am SO excited to finally share with you all a fun (and playful and very colorful 😉 ) collab I’ve been hard at work on these past couple of weeks with the wonderful team over at Kate Spade New York! Their adorable new Broome Street collection just launched and I couldn’t more thrilled to give you all a peek at how I am styling a few of my favorite pieces.

As you know if you’ve followed me for a while, I am constantly drawn to casual tops that can easily be styled in more ways than one (…have y’all seen my Instagram lately? ha! Let’s just say my tops get a lot of wear) and this pretty white ‘Everyday Tee‘ is a welcomed addition to my wardrobe. Rather than show you how I’d style this tee in multiple ways over the span of a few weeks or months, I thought it would be fun to get right down to it and feature 3 adorable ways to wear this classic tee – in one blog post! (Psst..I added a bonus look that I kind of had to have as soon as I saw it online – hey, y’all know I’m a major sucker for stripes! 😉 )

As a past copywriter for a couple of fashion brands,  let’s just say I am a HUGE fan of Kate Spade and their adorable, cheeky and ultra feminine campaign ideas and thought out details – and of course the writing their team comes up with! (My very favorite Kate Spade-ism that’s printed onto their handbag cloth cover is,”She tucked her coral lipstick away and floated back to the party.” Y’all, that is copywriting magic!). So basically, I’ve always admired Kate Spade New York and the overall idea for this launch definitely had me swooning as much as ever. The cutesy idea behind the latest spring launch is, “Spring in New York is….” and you fill in the blank with whatever suits you best!

As for me? I chose, “Spring in New York is doing bunches of things all at once..” because well, regardless of whether I’m in Austin or NYC, let’s just say I am constantly busy and on-the-go (…that, and I reaaally wanted to hold bunches of flowers with this look because it’s too perfect not be holding a dozen fresh tulips! ..Right? 😉 ). Though I am constantly wishing life would slow down juuuust a little bit and give me some time to breathe, I can assure you that if you’re wearing any of the following outfits, you’ll be totally okay jumping from meeting to meeting or strolling confidently about town. 😉

So, without further ado! Here’s one tee, 3 ways – enjoy!!
^^THE cutest floral printed leather band and rose gold watch – did you notice it matches my skirt? LOVE the playful subtleness of matching a wristwatch to an outfit.
^^True story: it was insanely windy when my dad and I shot these looks (special shoutout to PapaWatson, photog extraordinaire!) so, that whole “me holding my skirt” thing was very real! (But hey, definitely made for some cute pictures, ha!).
^^This handbag = major swoon alert! Kate Spade New York just came out with a newer style of this mini handbag (I’m all about itty bitty bags you can wear as a cross-body) and I can’t get enough of the “pink rouge” color (you can see all of their “pink rouge” bags here) – it’s mesmerizing and makes you feel so fabulous and feminine!!

^^Did you see what I did there? 😉 This tee is the perfect layerable! So simple to wear under a sheer top (how stunning is this ruffled blouse? In love!) and button up or leave some white tee peeking out. I love how adding a top with the same print gives off the illusion of a dress – three separates that provide so many outfit options & look incredible when paired all together! (Tee, blouse, skirt).
^^A few things: this handbag, those shoes, that coffee thermos = ahh-mazing. You can never go wrong investing in a timeless and structured handbag, and I love the color contrast on this one! (This exact bag is sold out, but I linked to a very similar one). Pairing a neutral handbag with a bold and vibrant look is the perfect way to balance an outfit. Oh, and did you catch the shoes? Studs, bows, patent – oh my! 😉 SO GORGEOUS! When these arrived at my door I was wearing my PJs and yes, I absolutely put these pretties on and strutted around the apartment like a giant goon for about 10 solid minutes, ha! They are beautifully made, so flattering and look stunning with any look (dressed up or down). Finally, I’ve got major heart eyes for that gold striped coffee thermos, how precious is that? As someone who drinks coffee way too much, let’s just say I am very proud to now have a thermos that acts as another accessory to my daily looks!
^^Ohh my goodness these front zip cigarette pants absolutely have me in LOVE! SO flattering (yes, worthy of all caps 😉 ), comfortable and the nicest quality – I can hands down tell you that you will both look and feel amazing in these. I kind of felt a little Audrey Hepburn-esque in this look (sans the bright bag, but hey – clearly not wanting to take that off, ha) because of the cropped ankle and overall tailored look of the pants and tee. Classic, simple and timeless – this is definitely an outfit I will wear again and again!
^^I love how Kate Spade New York sticks to certain prints with each collection. This floral print is too much fun to mix and match, and I’m loving the pattern on a wallet, too. How cute would this zip wallet be peeking out of a bold, black tote or perhaps a bright pink bucket bag? Mhmm… aaaand just like that my wishlist keeps growing, ha! 😉
 I’ve listed my size references below so you can confidently shop these looks from the comfort of your sofa! 😉

– Everyday Tee: XS – this one fits true to size, just be sure to read the size recommendations on the Kate Spade site – that was a big help for me! This tee also comes in stripes or black, highly recommend it!!

– Rose Pleated Skirt: XXS – it hits at your waist, so just keep those measurements in mind when ordering this pretty thing! (I normally wear a 0/2 in pants/skirts)

– Rose Ruffle Shirt: XS – the fabric is incredible and delicate, it fits TTS.

– Front Zip Cigarette Pants – I ordered a 25 (my usual pant size) and they fit perfectly!

^^Hey, I told you I had a bonus look for ya! 😉 Gahh, how incredible is this striped dress?! The neckline is reminiscent of the Everyday Tee and the fabric is thicker (perfect for spring), so you don’t have to worry about it blowing in the wind or being too sheer – it’s truly dress perfection. Just looking at the photos, you can tell it’s made beautifully (because the stripes actually line up where the seams hit at the shoulders – that’s the sign of quality design, my mom always tells me that!). I seem to believe you can never have too many striped pieces in your wardrobe, and this dress is a definite must – especially with that pink handbag and floral print watch! Love the color and print contrasts.
