Good evening, ladies! Keeping this post short & sweet because I am one tired gal! After a whirlwind of a weekend (including a trip to Houston yesterday – got home at midnight last night!), I am in desperate need of some r&r time for myself – a bubble bath then my cozy bed, here I come! 😉
But first, I wanted to share this adorable (and classy and simple) look because this skirt is FINALLY back in stock – woo! I scooped this skirt up at Saint Bernard (they have storefronts in Dallas and Austin, LOVE this retailer!) and it immediately sold out like hot cakes…thus, wanted to quickly spread the good news that you can finally get one for yourself – well, while they last!!
My skirt is by Cupcakes & Cashmere (also one of my favorite bloggers who I’ve been following since I was in college – Emily Schulman is now designing her own clothing line, how cool is that?!) and I LOVE how chic the the angled cut is and the peek of skin with the front slit. This is the perfect, fashion forward work-to-play pencil skirt and y’all, it’s SO comfy! The fabric has some stretch to it and sits lower on the waist, so it allows for plenty of breathe room. A really beautiful quality and extra flattering skirt that can be styled a ton of different ways – for under $100! Now, that’s a timeless wardrobe staple & smart investment if you ask me. Ps. I styled this look another way, too (you can see it on my Instagram here) and I’ll post that sometime next week. I’m wearing a size XS for reference (I normally wear a 0/2 in jeans + skirts).
I paired the skirt with my striped top from Madewell (it runs big, I’d normally wear a small but got an XS) and I love this tee with jeans for a more casual look (you can see that here) or with this skirt as a chic complement that adds more dimension to the overall outfit. Add some nude heels (my favorites, need these in black, too!) and a cute all black handbag (kind of obsessed with Rebecca Minkoff lately) and you’re all set! 😉
As y’all know, I like to add pieces to my wardrobe that you can get a lot of wear out of and style in different ways (hello, more bang for your buck! 😉 ) and every item you see me wearing in this post is extremely versatile! Hopefully this gives you some good food for thought as to how you can wear and re-wear this look over and over again. I’m definitely sold on the Cupcakes & Cashmere collection, available at Saint Bernard!
