Denim Rules to Dress By with Madewell

Hi gals, I hope your week is going well (and hopefully going to finish strong!). I don’t know about y’all, but I am super ready for a glass of wine (or two..) right about now, this week has been madness! Counting down the hours until it’s Friday and the clock strikes 5.. 😉

Onto this outfit, though.. 😉 I am so excited to partner up with Madewell and feature a few of my favorite picks from their new spring line and share more info about a fabulous contest they’re running for Madewell followers! As for the new spring line, Madewell just got in 120+ new denim styles (…talk about tough decisions with that one, ha!) and tons of adorable new tops that are perfect for warmer weather or a sunny getaway (…which I am most definitely daydreaming of right about now!), like this precious little striped number…I’m obsessed! Ps. I ordered a size XS because the top runs a little big (I’d usually wear a small).

I have been trying to simplify my wardrobe by adding more classic and timeless pieces, and one of my favorite things about Madewell is that whole “less is more” vibe…dainty accessories, clean lines, flattering cuts and basics you can pair together or mix and match. I’m all about that! I’d been eyeing another pair of high waist jeans for a while (I own a few pairs that I’ve absolutely loved) and decided that as spring heads our way, now is a perfect time to scoop some up another denim wash (like this one) and wear them with some fun flats or sandals. These tan loafers (in LOVE with these, they run big so order a size down!) are the perfect shoe pick to top off this look, and I love the look of a tucked in top with high waist jeans (next time I may opt for a belt, too, I love that look). (Ps. The jeans run true to size, if not a tad big! I ordered my usual size and the stretch of the jeans gives me some wiggle room…which means I can still go to Chipotle on my lunch break while wearing these, ha! 😉 Priorities, right?).
