Cozy Tunic & Utility Jacket

Comfy meets classic with a pop of color for this outfit! Over the weekend I met one of my best friends for a coffee sesh on South Congress (if you follow me on Snapchat, you probably know Veronica by now!). She was spending the weekend at the new South Congress Hotel, so I went to scope it out (umm, it’s GORG…like, the most beautiful industrially designed bachelor pad in hotel form – ha! So so pretty and lovely). So, after melting over the beauty of her hotel room, we strolled over to the Tom’s bungalow for some coffee and a little window shopping (it’s an actual miracle that I didn’t buy anything…the shoes…sunglasses…definitely tested my self control). We decided to snap some photos en route to the coffeehouse…thus – this outfit is the perfect “weekend stroll” look…which is basically how I dress no matter the occasion..y’all know me, all about casual + cute looks over here!

The wine colored tunic I’m wearing is by BP and it’s SO cozy and the perfect length (and it comes in a ton of colors! I’m wearing a size small)…I’m obsessed with long sleeve tops that are a little oversized so that I can wear them with jeans or leggings and layer up with a cute utility jacket like this one. I paired the tunic with my Joe’s jeans which are a higher price point but SO worth it. Honestly, I’ve never felt so good wearing a pair of jeans…if you can’t tell, I wear these ALL the time (…just go to my Instagram feed and they’re aaaaall over the place, ha!).

My shoes are from Madewell and I am in LOVE. I’ve been trying to slowly incorporate key pieces into my wardrobe that are timeless, fashion forward and classy, and these loafers are a welcomed addition! I love the smart and classic vibe that comes with a pair of loafers like these. Be sure to order a full size down if you get these shoes, I am normally a size 7 and ended up leaving with a 6…even the half size slipped off! They’re gorgeous, you will looove them!

If you’re on the hunt for an affordable, trusty everyday tote bag, then this reversible tote for under $50 is THE bag for you. It comes in a ton of color options and it’s travelled near and far with me and been put through the ringer (I carry my closet in my tote…pretty much..) and it’s still good as new.
