Our Save The Date Photo Session
First off, happy Christmas Eve! Did time not zoom by or what?! Second, I could not be more excited to finally share our Save The Date photo session! Truth be told, we haven’t even finished up the guest list…buut hey, this is a start, right? 😉 For my Blogger Bride series with Style Me Pretty, you can read all about our Save The Date shoot and see the full range of photos – they have a gallery on my page that you can click into if you’d like to get the full photo scoop! I fell in love with this gorgeous red sequin Badgley Mischka gown from Rent the Runway – it could not have turned out more perfect with Blake’s solid black look, don’t you think? All around classy and glam, just what I had in mind when brainstorming for this shoot.
The evening we snapped these photos, we were actually headed to a formal event with Blake’s family and I asked our photographer to meet us beforehand to just to get a few pictures that we could use for our Save The Date cards. It worked out that we were already planning to be super dolled up, so I had to make the most of it (and I only had the dress for three days, ha!) and the timing worked out perfectly – not to mention popping a bottle of bubbly made for a nice little celebratory pre-game to the event, ha. 😉
I’d been thinking up the perfect Save The Date idea for quite some time (and yes, I most definitely used Pinterest for inspo – it’s THE best!), and everything I kept gravitating towards was really simple but romantic, and left a lot of blank space at the top of the image to add “Save The Date” in a pretty scripty font. Hence, why we chose the rooftop of our first apartment’s parking garage – lots of blank white space and not a cloud in the sky, (…and more importantly, no one around to stare at us during an intimate shoot) it was perfect!
Okay, I hope you enjoy – I can’t wait to get our cards made and send them out to friends and family!! We could not be more in love with how this shoot turned out!
Read the full story and see all of the photos from our session on Style Me Pretty! Hope you enjoyed and I wish you all a VERY Merry Christmas!
And if you happen to be cozied up on the sofa…take a look at our love/engagement story here, and how I asked my bridal party here. XO!
